I had a question and no one seemed to respond. I am not racist and I am a true believer that people should be treated properly. I asked questions about views from people about this subject. Then I posted another question hoping to get a response from pro-illegal aliens to help me understand BOTH points of view. I got NO resposes so far from the latter question. The people here are psychic - they answered that I won't get a response as they don't have anything they can say that holds water. Giving you all a chance to get your point across but you won't. What about all the demonstrations and now nothing to say? I'm baffled.

You're rambling a bit, and your question is weighted. Very few are actually "pro-illegal aliens", in so much as some are in favor of easing the legalization of immigrants, and potentially granting some sort of permit to those already here illegally.

I have a number of reasons for doing both:

First, my father is a self-employed carpenter, who works alongside a handful of illegal aliens. Many others he knows employ dozens of illegals, and this is a pretty common practice everywhere. For the most part, America has become a service and technological nation - it's actually pretty hard to fill a job doing "grunt work", let alone doing it well. Many illegals make more money here than they would in Mexico and Central America, where most of them come from. However, they still probably make a substantial amount less than an American doing the same job.

Also, the sheer number of illegal aliens in the country is astounding. It's been cited at around 11 million, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's more. Exiting that many people from the country is near-impossible and quite likely to cause much more trouble than it would save. America is also a huge country, and believing we can actually completely secure the borders is a pipe dream and would be ungodly expensive.

Finally, by granting some sort of permit to illegals, we can actually track them, which means we can tax them for the public services they're already using, such as roads, public transit, and schools. We can also hold employers more responsible to minimum and "living" wage laws, since they wouldn't be paid under the table anymore.

Short story - you're not going to STOP illegal immigrants, so why not make it easier to keep track of them?

At this day in age, youre not going to get any responses from people that Pro-Amnesty. Why? Common sense. *MOST*, not all of, but most of the Mexicans that are running across the border and swimming across the Rio Grande' are not coming to work an honest job and pay taxes. A lot of these people simply want a free ride. This is a fact and it is proven. These people come over and suck on the system until theres nothing left. The U.S. economy simply cannot support it at this point. Regardless of what my personal beliefs may be, it pains me to admit it, but its the truth. At the same time, you have to think about security as well. If Mexicans can just stroll right across the border, what would stop "Mohammed Al-Zarqowi Hussein" from doing the same thing? Think about it, seriously, these are dangerous times. As much as I'd love to help out our brothers and sisters from the South, the simple truth is that its just not possible at this point. There is too much at stake. Sadly, before we can save the World, we have to save ourselves.

This issue is so technical. On the one hand so many have made the US theor home for so many years. On the other hand so many wnat to continue with their own culture by forcing it onto the US society. On the other hand some are here for the money and s end it back to their home countries. The big question is how does one differentiate the classes and act upon those who really wnat to become Americans and help the life and economy here.

Maybe because there are no "legal-aliens" to begin with, which makes it look like in your question you have already made up your mind.

Most of us came to U.S. over the past few generations without ever asking the original people who lived here for permission. Even those who applied over the last century, got their legality authorized by others that were here illegally. With that definition, we are ALL illegals.

Many of us illegal aliens have now decided that only the newest batch of immigrants coming in are "illegal" or at its most progressive form "undocumented", without ever looking at the bigger picture.

Now, what was your question?

Because ..apparently they don't have much more to say than "RACIST"......
next it's a conjured up word like "Latinophobe"
then they call you a NAZI.
So predictable.
They scream Xenophobe in spite of the fact America has people from every ethnic group on the planet living here and somehow we have managed not to kill each other.
Which is pretty commendable for a bunch of Xenophobic Nazis

They learned from the demonstrations, and now know it's far better to remain low key and hope no one will notice.

Too late guys.

Do they ever have anything to say worth listening to? All I hear from them is the usual rant of "Racist" or "We were all immigrants once" and BS like that ... which has absolutely nothing to do with anything ...

those demonsters should have been arrested on the spot for flying their filthy mexican flag above our, let alone flying ours upside down. those are terrorists if i've ever seen terrorists. they're lucky they didn't demonstrate where i live, i would have shot them, you know, as a demonstration.
