Ignore them. LIBERALS always do that when anyone disagrees with them on anything that can even be remotely tied to race. Liberals are really the most intolerant people I have ever seen by far in my nearly 55 years on Earth.

I would not go so far as to say 'bigot', but I would say uninformed. Saying "Everyone must speak English" is unrealistic and harsh. Perhaps it should be required for citizenship, but not for living here. My great-grandmother from Italy only spoke broken English, hardly comprehensible, but she loved the USA fiercely. My Grandma from Norway was the same. Languages are not easy for some people, and the majority of the ancestors of present day Americans spoke a different language when they came here. But the kids learn to speak English, and life goes on. That's America.
There are whole neighborhoods in NYC where hardly anyone speaks English, and haven't for many years, over a hundred years in many cases. Little Italy, Chinatown, etc. No one has ever complained about that. All of this sudden "English Only" frenzy is obviously aimed at Hispanics, and THAT is bigoted.
You should learn about something before you make blanket statements, or you will risk being called a bigot.

Name-calling is always a poor substitute for reasonable debate.
I have noticed if I ask the wrong questions on this website that I get called names just for bringing up the subject. These same people seldom offer any rational arguments as to what reason they believe I am stupid or why the implications of my question are wrong or faulty logic or untrue factual assertions. Just call me stupid or whatever.
I often am amazed at how the right-wing that is supposed o stand for protecting the constitution and defending the American way, have so little faith in the process of thinking and reasoning and debating and educating that is so vital for a democracy to function well. we have to have different opinions brought to light and compete with ideas by offering better ideas. Otherwise we are an easily manipulated rabble of morons. Like during the French revolution.
Free speech is the FIRST amendment and that shows how inportant it is. If we shut down any kind of different opinion that questions authority or present assumptions by using only name-calling and hatred, we undermine the very foundations of our democracy and our beloved constitution and American ideals
(which we have yet to live up to but at least we have voiced them and are trying)
I did not often agree with William Buckley but I always appreciated his fine tuned sense of honor in a debate and the good way he made his points. He is a true American conservative that uses the power of reason and intellect to defend his positions and opinions which he is entitled to, as are we all. I have grudgingly come to respect and agree somewhat with Pat Buchanon lately as he seems to be the voice of reason in a conservative jungle of hate and ignorance.
They say that if you are not liberal as a youth, you have no heart, but if you are not conservative when old, you have no brain. So..
When middle-aged I guess you should keep an open mind and learn to listen and think.

When you travel abroad are you expected to learn their native tongue before you go there??
We have many different races living in England and they are entitled to speak in their own language. It can be annoying or frustrating when they can't speak English, but they don't HAVE to learn it, although it does help!!
Reading your posting it looks like maybe you need a lesson in speaking, or at least spelling your own language.
As for being a bigot, I think that was a little bit harsh. I would call you maybe a little bit naive in your opinions.

It's usually the ones CALLING the names, that ARE!!!!!!!!!!!! And,i'm with YOU.on this issue!!! EVERYONE living or planning to live in this country, needs to learn how to speak, read, and write, proper English!!!! English is our national language, and has been forever.
If i went to France,i would NOT expect all French people to learn English,so that i could communicate with them!!! I would NOT expect them to put every store sign, etc., in English, just so that I could understand it!!
THIS is an english speaking country,if people don't like it that way, they don't have to COME here!!!

Their accusation against you makes no sense. If you want to live in a country, learn the accepted language. You are correct.
