the other day they deported over 2,100 illegals they found working in places like the airport, missle launch sites, even a company that makes MRE"s for the army.
do you feel safe with illegals working in sensitive and secure areas of our country?

2006-06-16 07:09:31 · 13 answers · asked by NONAME 2

that should stop the illegal invasion. i'm sure we have lots of them left over. wanting to keep our country free of illegals is not racist, it's our rights.

we can put up signs, in english only, of course.

if you don't want to step on one, DO NOT SNEAK ACROSS THE BORDER!

And "Americans" say they want everyone to "do it the legal way"?!?
THERE IS NO LEGAL WAY.
20 years ago and earlier it was very easy. Now unless you win a lottery, you can't come! There are so many specialists who are not granted visas even to visit!
Why are you surprised then that people overstay their visas and become illegals?
Do you even know how hard it is to OBTAIN a visa?
I've come legally, pay taxes, speak excellent English, have no criminal record, yet I now I'm treated as an illegal immigrant without any chance to legalize!
Why is your govmt so stupid?!?
Not every illegal has sneaked in! We are educated people, many from Europe! We can only contribute and we do!

It seems that a lot of people talks trash about how illegals don't pay taxes, granted a lot of them don't, but many do, the way that they pay taxes is that even if they use a fake SSN they can get an ITIN (individual taxpayer id number) which they can use at the end of the year to present their earnings to the IRS and do the same thing all Americans do. It seems a lot of people is agnorant of this fact. This goes for those who don't think illegals have a way of paying taxes.

Does anyone know what an unconditional citizen is and what it takes to have them removed for the US? Links appreciated to any information provided. The "unconditional citizen" is back $15000+ in child support for a child he had with a US citizen. He is divorcing his second wife and has had 2 additional children. He won't get a job and says that he can't get a job due to his status.

First aspect I want to say - America makes it almost impossible for people to immigrate legally. before Sep 11 any immigrant could have got SS , DL, and after that- they think anybody who immigrant is Osama Bin laden so they : dont give D.L no SS, and they decline students, professional workers and business people from being here legally. Im sure for exapmle, Mexicans, wish to be here legally- just that the difficult immigration laws wont let them be.
A second thing, We Americans were born to a wealthy country and a great modern environment, why aren't we more compassionate to realize not all people in other countries around the world are as lucky as we are, we were just lucky to be born here but others weren’t, why not share and welcome other people who want to make better lives for themselves? Why do we Americans are not welcoming people from other countries who are simply less fortunate then us?

If an illegal Immigrant is working as a documented citizen that means that they have stolen someone else's livelihood, and most of them don't pay the taxes, they just let them build up until the IRS goes after the person who's identity was stolen.
Believe me, I know it for a fact. My husband and I are still fighting not to pay the back taxes owed by two of the illegals working under his name, out of the four that we know about.
They don't pay the taxes, and they expect Americans to do it for them.

I have discovered that Americans do not like to acknowledge that there are many poor Americans in our country.
Illegal Immigrants that add to the poverty are allowed to be poor.
However, the American labor force has been forced to work for crap wages because of Illegal Immigrants, and for the 12 million Illegal Immigrants there is at least that many hard working Americans in this country starving.
I would just like to know why, and should I become an illegal in America so that I can reap the benefits they do?

Since when did America become the country that hates competition. Mexicans come and take jobs no one with a diploma will do for cheaper and with longer hours. This leads to lower prices, lower inflation, and greater economic efficiency. They don't get welfare, but spend on American companies and pay sales taxes. White people's (I'm White btw) fear of being overrun by brown people is really at the heart of this whole uproar. Thats all I wanted to say. Read a book.

I’ll tell you.

1. Illegals are now legal and will demand more money for their work.
2. Another wave of illegals will enter to take the jobs for less money than the new legals.
3. The legals will begin complaining that illegals are taking their jobs.

The cycle begins again.

If the Government is complaining about the illegals not paying taxes, they whey don't they make them pay their back-taxes and some other fees, maybe charge an immigrationt tax, get their medical exams, learn english if they don't already know it, do back ground checks, and put them on probation for a few years, but making the immigrant pay out-of-pocket. Get 'em a tax ID # (maybe a temporary visa) and they are set, and the government has it's money back and then some. Maybe a little comunity service would be in order, but maybe deportation would be a little over the top. If it's the cost isn't worth it to the (formerly) illegal worker then they can deport themselves by paying their own way back home. Otherwise we can go back to the ol' lock 'em up and ship 'em out. If they are given a strict time limit then the majority of those here will be taken care of and the government could afford to get rid of those that don't want to pay for their actions.
Waddya think about that? Tell me.

I agree that illegal immigration is WRONG. I agree that a wall or something should be put up between the borders to help with the problem. However, on SOME occasions, I think that I would have done the same thing if I were them. Think about it, if your mom, dad, sibling, grandparent, or spouse was deathly ill and you couldn't raise enough money for the needed surgury, would you not do all that you could to save your loved one's life? I know I would. I know that this is not so in ALL cases, but in many it is. If my mom was suffering a heart attack at her house and I was informed, I would drive as fast as I could to go to be at her side and try to save her life, regardless of the speed limit and stop signs. I love my mother and will do anything for her. Many Americans (including myself) have become accustomed to and spoiled by the availability of health care. We are fortunate to have come from a "wealthy" nation. I thank God for that. But, I feel for those who are not so fortunate.

Yesterday my mother was at Dunkin Donuts (coffee shop for those who don't live in New England). The man in front of her was trying to order a meal (a saugage egg and cheese sandwich) but he couldn't speak English. The woman working finally figured out what he wanted, but when he got it he said it was wrong, "no meat" as he said. That was what he ordered and even repeated it to the woman. My mother told him that, and told him that if he can't speak English than he shouldn't be living in this country. I agree, but it's not something I would say to someone. Do you think she was right in saying that to him?

Many came for a noble cause. In these poorer countries, good, honest doctors are hard to come by, and even harder to afford. Many only want to save the lives of their dying loved ones. These people work long hours and do back-breaking work for a very inadequate salary. To get here, they have to pay large sums of money, and risk their lives. I know I wouldn't want to have to do that to enjoy the opportunities that I have. I don't understand why they can't be considered refugees. I know that not everybody that has migrated to the US has come for these reasons, but many have. Oh, and America makes it very hard for the latinos to immigrat legally. I costs a lot and they have to own property, and have a good job, and then they can only apply for something temporary."Love thy neighbor as thyself."America loved itself enough to help itself to pre-owned land
Their countries are full of hard workers, if only given the chance in their homelands, they could succeed. Then they wouldn't need theUS
