I have thought about it, but the problem I have is where can I go that is any better? It may be awful, but as far as I can tell, it's the best of the worst.

There are more reasons than oppression for leaving this country. I have wanted to leave for thirty years, but my wife won't go with me. I've lived outside of this country for more than six years and would gladly, happily relocate. When I was living in another country, an estimated ten million Americans were considered expatriots, people who had abandoned the U.S. That was thirty or more years ago. I'd think that number has probably increased substantially.
As far as staying and fighting oppression, what are you doing about it? How many people in this country are doing anything about it? How many people go to the polls? Or boycott the polls when there is no good choice among the candidates? How does one "stand up and fight against oppression?"
The major problem I see in this country is a citizenry all too willing to allow the government to control and interfere with every aspect of one's life. I see a citizenry that begs the government for protection and solutions rather than protecting itself and finding solutions without the aid of a national or state government. I see other ills here too, not just apathy and oppression. But they are too numerous to discuss here. Besides, everyone's leaving for another country, so why should I try to talk with anyone about them?

Because most Americans don't realize how truely awesome we have it in America. And how bad much of the rest of the world has it. People think that all these other countries would be so great. Some may be better, mabey over in the europe area. But try going to Mexico or any other third world country, then they'll be begging to come back to America.

I can only speak for myself when I say that I do not want to live any where else. I am not happy with the state of our great nation, but instead of fleeing I will stand and defend our rights in anyway that I can. I know the way in which other people live in other countries therefor I know that what we have here in America, in my opinion, is better than any other that is out there.
American people NEED to inform themselves as to what is going on in our nation. Don't just listen to the rhetoric that the media puts out on the nightly news or in the government controlled news papers, listen to radio shows such as Coast to Coast Am with George Noory, go on the net and do your own research, find out what is REALLY going on in our nation, and the world. Look into the "American Union" that our government officials are talking about. There is so much more that is going on than what the average American realizes. Turn off your TVs, turn on your radios, and surf the web. Open your eyes Americans, don't turn your backs on our nation, stay and fight for America. If Americans do not stand up and educate themselves to what is going on they will find themselves living in a different country with out having to move. (Oh sorry, I kinda got on my soap box there, but I hope I answered you question. :-) and I know I may sound like a nut, but I'm really not, just a VERY concerned American.)

what u should be scared of is all the crookedness happening in this world... war costs money and who is recieving and exchanging? the american citizens? i dont think so! they send our young boys and girls that can be easily be convinced that they r fighting for a good cause. be serious, be for real. America is just fine cause its been corrupted since it was discovered so what is the difference now? there is nothing to be afraid of and i feel it is wonderful that everyone is leaving so they can find a better way of life. may they complete all there journeys and find peace and happiness because there is barely any peace and happiness left in America and people are starting to realize it. one more thing, America is a country that is revolved and stands for one thing and that is MONEY! u dont die with money so why go crazy for it? people are just realizing that these days are ending soon and they are trying to find peace and God and a peaceful way of life. whether u be christian or muslim or whatever religion, u will not find it stable and strong here in America. this is my personal opinion on this question so please dont get affended. have a great day!

No...they're just finally showing some interest in the rest of the world. Those that travel and spend some time in other countries have a much better perspective on the world, and it broadens their minds. Considering how isolationist many americans can be, this is a GOOD thing :) Ignorance is bad, knowledge is good.

I am with you. I am a patriot, but I do not support the decisions of my government, Republican or Democrat. Instead of standing up and taking our country, the people's country, back most Americans are running or living in ignorance. It's our fault it's gone this far so we should be the ones to take back control and responsibility.

I think Mexico's on the march, and Bush is encouraging it, if not openly, then under-the-table. We have the shadiest bunch of people in Congress now that you could think of, and even shadier people on the outskirts, there. We're getting manipulated, that's for sure, but, on the bright side, there's still a chance to act on election day in november. Do your best on the ballot, and let's have some reforms that'll put paid to this sorry administration and their drug-dream policies! LOL

What oppression?
I think we are just getting very curious about other cultures and ways of life following the tragic events of 9/11. We just want to know more about the world is all. I think it's harmless.

I think if it were an actual war it would be easier to get results then what we're stuck with now. Trying to get past all the red tape is more frustrating and stressful then it needs to be and leaves most Americans feeling hopeless and unheard.

Yes, I have seen it where they say that they have to leave because their neighborhoods are being colonized and they are being forced out.
I saw a black man at a rally saying he was from LA, and how they don't discriminate - they are pushing to force him and his community out.
The reasons differ but the cause is the same - failure of our govenment to protect us from our inalienable rights from aliens as outlined in the Constitution for life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness as outlined in Article 14 paragraph 1. The same law that has me asking how we must be responsible for the growth of colonization against citizens.
Incredible.
