Yes there are too many of them spongers in this country.

They use the shite human rights loophole to avoid being sent back. The policy should be that if they want to work they are welcome and if they just want to sit on their fat arses sponging off the taxpayer then they can f*ck off back where they came from.

No I don't agree. It is easy to think so but if you just look at facts you will find out that America is not lettting in too many immigrants. It is not that easy to be granted asylum in the US.
Just read that there are over 150 million migrants in the world today and that the United States receives less than 2% of the world's migrants on an annual basis.
Fact is that most asylum seekers are seeking asylum in the their neighbouring countries, as most of them would not have the money or opportunity to travel that far. There are other reasons for going to a specific country than high standard of life. for instance relatives. The other thing you have to take into account is that problems in poorer countries are partly caused by the Western world for instance by unfair trade or wars.

The Brits seeked asylum in Africa, Asia and America. In fact the number of Brits in say Emirates are three times the number of Afro Asian asylum seekers here.

Seeking asylum in a country could be also financial as much as political.
Plus the fact that Europeans have been and still are bulging the goodness of Africa and Asia and for many centuries, Brits even transported the animals killing off 100's of species.

Many of the asylum seekers here are highly educated, highly professional, the fact that time has turned on them does not under mind their abilities or right to live in dignity among us.

Of course, there will be always those who creep in among the goodies but again European have creeping in their countries for centuries. Let us be fair.

They enjoy the high life at our expense though don't they? Many are illegal and disappear, working but paying no tax. The whole issue of Asylum is out of control. Isn't it all about offering protection to people in other countries that are in fear of their lives? I would guess that most are here solely for the standard of living we offer and the handouts that they get. I've never had a day where I haven't been employed, paying in. I've never took a penny out. Asylum has to stop. This country has more that done it's bit, fairs fair.

I don't know how numbers can eqaute, when people are fleeing from terror and for their lives.

There's a difference between asylum seekers, ie people who are fleeing from their lives and migrants who want a better life for themselves - and why shouldnt they?

Most of the UK was built up by people from other countries.

And the fact is that we need people to do work here

I don't consider I live the high life, I work full time and damned hard

I was in hospital recently and the NHS is propped up by people from other countries. People who were tained in their own countries and who were aksed to come here as we have a shortage of doctors and nurses, the same is true of dentists.

Yes, they call us americans terrorists but they dont complain when they sneek into the country. They take our work, and slow the economy as they get paid cash in hand and send the money abroad. Also they work for cheaper which is putting a number of skilled workers out of work. Everyone should go back to where they came from except if their studying or their country has been taking over by us in the US!!

It would be a good thing to help them if they were given proper jobs that no other citizen would ortherwise do. In these 'proper' jobs they would be doing a good service, for which they'd get paid on which they would be taxed (more income for the country). I'm sure there are lots of vacancies because lazy a.ss people who were fortunate enought to be born here wouldn't touch with a barge pole. But what I don't agree with is that they are being housed, fed, clothed on taxpayer's money and some of them even commit crime. These ones should be deported immediately even if they face death on their return. It they are willing to work hard and be model citizens then they deserve a chance in life, otherwise deport them.

I do feel we have too many in our country but I am more annoyed with the people coming into our country and claiming Asylum when it was not due to them. I am more than happy to welcome anyone to start a new life, if they are truely indanger by staying in their country.
How many of us start new lifes in other countries??
Good luck to them, I am 100% behind them in getting work and paying tax like everyone else BUT think we have to crack down on the ones who are benefiting from the state and not getting out their and finding work. We have enough of our own as it enough.

Any one who goes to a community and is prepared to work or contribute (in a valid way that benefits the whole community) should be welcome.

The problem is not with immigration or asylum seekers - it is with able bodied people (who either come or were born here) who take from the community and do not put back. Including people who
1) subsidise benefits with on-the-side work
2) have children they can not afford to raise and expect the tax payer to foot the bill
3) people who refuse to accept lower paid work, if that is all that is available to them

Any one who has the courage to leave there home's in search of work and pays their taxes is welcome by me and I wish them well

I'm in 2 minds about it.

It winds me up that they get given homes, benefits etc, but on the other hand they are here as their own country is falling apart.

However, it puts strain on our economy and we have to suffer for it.

Where is the justice in the world?
