i find it comforting that we have them coming over, i am all for finding a legal way to take care of it, it is less expensive than having border patrols and massive fences.

I can't believe you are using the tired "They do the jobs Americans won't do" arguement. Prior to the disastrous immigration act of 1965, there was very little immigration. In fact, between 1925 and 1965, immigration levels were so low the number of immigrants in the country actually declined. In fact, there was even a period of net EMIGRATION out of the United States. Yet, during that time, Americans invented computers, had a healthy labor movement, initiated the space programthat put men on the moon, made great strides in civil rights and environmental legislation, built the largest economy the world has ever seen, and successfullyprosecuted WWII against two great powers on two fronts simultaneously. We also got our grass cut and our meat packed. Our children were being watched and our houses were being cleaned. The idea that somehow we suddenly can't run a country without an endless supply of fereigners is absurd. The falsehood repeated endlessly, that immigrants do the jobs Americans won't is really ridiculous:
We'll do the job, just not for SLAVE WAGES!
What you are advocating is slavery!
A country and her citizens should do their own work! We need to make ourselves useful and productive to eachother not allow others to be useful and productive in our stead.
I know. The upside is getting to listen to sell-outs like you giving away the American Dream to criminals. That's what they are if they've come here illegally. It is a crime. Then they work without permission: another crime. They drive without a license: another crime. They crash into you while drunk driving: a crime...and they have no insurance: a crime...so they take off: (hit and run is crime - is it not?)

Is this the education you're getting in Amherst??? Just because Jeffrey Amherst was a white guy, born in England, and killed Native Americans, doesn't mean all "whites" are the same. It just looks that way at Amherst college, which is the least diverse of the 5 colleges in that area and the most stuck up(Freddy Jones).
That's not good considering both Smith (Velma Dinkley) and Mt. Holyoke (Daphne Blake) are Women only.
Hampshire (Shaggy Rogers) is the "bearded""pot head""olive drab" little step brother of Amherst. Amherst alums founded it in 1965.
You should take some classes at UMASS (Scooby Doo), you might actually learn something at the Zoo. Now get to class... take the PVTA (Mystery Machine)

How can we read a book if our schools are overcrowded and underfunded to support illegal immigrant ESL programs? How can our children possibly learn true social policy when things like the Dream act slipped into the Senate bill and already passed by the House Judiciary Committee would legalize illegal students and pave the way to give them in-state tuition and federal funds? Since admissions and funding programs are disproportionately slanted in favor of the poor, and there is no question illegal immigrants tend to qualify for that distinction, this would immensely impact the ability of our bright citizen children to get a good college education.
This is the first generation in America that will not do better than its parents. The primary force for upward mobility in this country has always been education and illegals are swamping already strained education systems. Education is subsidized for the poor by the middle class even if the poor pay all applicable taxes including income and property taxes. When the education systems are already failing our children in border states due to huge ESL programs using inordinate funding and slowing instruction for other students, it is irresponsible to increase the burden on education in favor of children who should not even be here.

Your statement that they don't get welfare is completey false, and extremely naive. I work in a community full of illegal immigrants and this is what I see: They receive food stamps, Their children go to schools and receive free lunch, They have babies and the state picks up the tab for that. Many do not pay taxes because they have no social security number. They get paid under the table and the income is never reported. A huge number of illegal immigrants steal social security numbers from deceased American children and proceed to enroll in every available public assistance program.
The notion that illegal immigrants come to the US just to work is false. The fact that they know they can receive public assistance once they get here is a huge incentive as well. While illegal immigrants may contribute to the economy, the also take from it. They take far more than they contribute.

This upside you promote is only valid IF Mexicans are not allowed to send their money back to Mexico and jobs that salary is not reported (SS, taxes, etc) are prosecuted fully. Three and four families living in a house does not help the economy. Shopping at Walmart does not help the economy.
What little money they return to the economy is so minimal it does not counter the negative effects of their cheap labor on the country's economic system
Not to mention being illegal is NOT LEGAL. They are breaking the law, and there are citizens supporting the act. This can not be tolerated unless you happen to condone law breakers being allowed to live freely in this country.

So, I take it that you believe law breakers, are a good thing in America? Because you are sadly mistaken about your belief that Illegal Immigrants are a good thing for our economy.
There are more than 19 Million Americans who either have no job because of Illegal Immigrants filling the positions they say no one wants, and they are increasing the tax burdon on the people of America.
I know that my taxes have educated at least fifty Illegals in my community, however, I had to seek out, and pay out of my pocket for the education of my three children.
You live in a fantasy world if you believe they are good for the economy. Believe me there are plenty of hard working Americans working for low wages just like the illegals to put food on the table.
But, I guess as long as you fill your belly, that is all that matters, and by the way I am White, and Indian, and my husband is a third generation American Mexican, who works those jobs no one wants.
He has worked with the same company for more than six years, and has barely made it to $30,000.00.
He works long hours, moving people's furniture.
When he applied for a construction job that he qualified for, unless he was willing to take an eight thousand dollar decrease in pay he would not be hired.
Why because it is Illegal Immigrants filling those jobs.
My husband would have gave his eye teeth for better pay, but because of Illegal Immigrants, criminals, that was not an option.
Just like when he went to Frito Lay and discovered he was already working there making $36,000.00 a year, and had been employed there for more than five years.
Then my husband got a notice from SSI that his retirement funds were being diverted, to repay for a disability claim that he never claimed.
They took our income tax return to get paid back the $4200.00 worth of benefits claimed by someone illegally using my husband's stolen Identification.
This is not a competition, this is reality.
Illegal Immigrants break many laws, and are told by the people like yourself that it is okay, we will forgive you, here is my bank account information, my social security information, because when it is all said and done you'll take care of me, Right?
It is not about Racism, and I am so tired of back woods idiots that continue to try and point it that way.
It is about the immigrants that don't break our laws, steal jobs, and for every penny the man Frito Lay owed on his back taxes, we are fighting to not have to pay.
Get your head out of the sand, you are not an ostrage, you are an American.

HA.
i have an idea for you. Why dont you go to mexico, demand that they speak english and give you bilingual classes. Demand free services like health care and welfare. Cost the mexican government billions more than you are providing with your work and fill up their prisons because you commit a high percentage of crimes. See how far it will get you.
Do you really go to amherst? Obviously they arent making YOU read enough books.

People are just going have to get used to immigrants in America. It is what happened in the past and is going to continue into the future and that's why the government of USA is all up arms about because there is nothing they can do to stop it. Immigrants work really hard and do the jobs that some lazy *** Americans will not do. What people don't see are the thousands of maids and nannies that are hired by rich American folks who don't want to care for thier own kids or clean their own houses, or the lazy American who hires a cook cause he is too lazy to cook, or the lazy American farmer who doesn't want to pick out his own crops. Need I continue? You call them names and belittle them but they are good enough to take care of your most precious children or good enough in your homes and for their services they provide. You people that ***** are your own hiprocrates. Get over yourselves!!!

yes, there is an upside. As the cost of living increases and your taxes rise to pay for others to have a first crack at the American dream, you can relax - you'll not get your shot anytime soon, in fact, much longer and later than you think, if at all.
