Many came for a noble cause. In these poorer countries, good, honest doctors are hard to come by, and even harder to afford. Many only want to save the lives of their dying loved ones. These people work long hours and do back-breaking work for a very inadequate salary. To get here, they have to pay large sums of money, and risk their lives. I know I wouldn't want to have to do that to enjoy the opportunities that I have. I don't understand why they can't be considered refugees. I know that not everybody that has migrated to the US has come for these reasons, but many have. Oh, and America makes it very hard for the latinos to immigrat legally. I costs a lot and they have to own property, and have a good job, and then they can only apply for something temporary."Love thy neighbor as thyself."America loved itself enough to help itself to pre-owned land
Their countries are full of hard workers, if only given the chance in their homelands, they could succeed. Then they wouldn't need theUS

Ok first answer smarty-pants. Yahoo puts the ? at the end of the sentence automatically. I only wanted to make a statement. I didn't ask for that question mark. Make a real comment. This isn't an English class essay. I can't write "I ain't got no" if I want to. I'm not trying to impress anyone and I don't appriciate snot-nosed remarks. But thanks for your imput, I guess, or not. I'm trying to be less rude than you.

Look, we have laws and these laws need to be respected. It has absolutely nothing to do with the race and nationality of immigrants, and every bit to do with the right of this nation to defend itself. Moreover, as a tax-paying, skilled, and educated citizen, I think it is extremely unfair to expect only the naturalized citizens of this nation to pay all of the bills and just give everyone else a free pass. That is completely absurd.
For the record, Mexico and Japan have the strictest immigration law. If you knew what the Mexican government did to persons whom they caught illegally entering their country you would totally rethink how the US treats immigrants.
Also, our government isn't saying these people can never come to the US to live or work, we just want them to respect the law. That means filling out the forms, paying the fees, paying taxes, background checks and not breaking the law when they get here. That really isn't asking too much.

The US has immigration LAWS that ALL must follow. There are poor and hard working people all over the world that would like to come here. But we can't possibly support all of them.
If anyone from a foreign land wants to become a citizen, he must do it the legal way, like millions of others have done before him. Illegal aliens cannot be allowed to come into this country in uncontrolled numbers. That would lead to a host of social and economic problems....
America is more generous than most countries when it comes to immigration. Don't paint the US as a bad guy.

And, not all Mexicans are Latinos. The USA does not make it harder for Latinos to come to America. It is not even asked on the visa application. Mexicans cannot be considered refugees, because the Mexican government and way of life does not in any way fall under the refugee status or definitions set by the UN. Believe it or not, even the hellhole it is, Mexico is still better than most other nations in the world. And more food for thought. Mexico's unemployment rate is almost HALF that of the USA! So Mexicans are not desperate for jobs to feed their family. They are desperate for American Food Stamps and Welfare.

It is not that hard to come legally. Do you mean it takes longer than some want to wait? Or that they have to work or go to school for a time ? Or that they have to stay out of trouble? What part is hard? Never heard that they have to own property or have to have a lot of money. I worked in health benefits for some time-never had that on a form.
Not most who come are the true poor of their country-they can't make it.
Illegal is Illegal-please don't sugar coat law breakers.
Yes many are hard working-we have them here too.
We have our own problems and people who need help-stand in line.
How about help those here first than we can help you

Again, the only people who have a right to complain would be the cave man/woman. They are the only ones who were here first. So, illegals, it's NOT YOUR COUNTRY!
Who made the United States responsible for the happiness, welfare and well being of the entire planet. The more we do the more we are resented. So all of you illegals, you better stop bashing the people who feed you. What ingratitude! What arrogance! What gall!
We will love you a lot more if you went back to "being our neighbor" instead of an unwanted intruder.

People are just going have to get used to immigrants in America. It is what happened in the past and is going to continue into the future and that's why the government of USA is all up arms about because there is nothing they can do to stop it. Immigrants work really hard and do the jobs that some lazy *** Americans will not do. What people don't see are the thousands of maids and nannies that are hired by rich American folks who don't want to care for thier own kids or clean their own houses, or the lazy American who hires a cook cause he is too lazy to cook, or the lazy American farmer who doesn't want to pick out his own crops. Need I continue? You call them names and belittle them but they are good enough to take care of your most precious children or good enough in your homes and for their services they provide. You people that ***** are your own hiprocrates. Get over yourselves!!!

If I go to Mexico for a good cause( or even a bad one) it is a felony, yet the same country with that law tells the U.S that we need to welcome these people and give them amnesty. Instead of breaking the law, and then DEMANDING change, why not follow the law and work with the government and American citizens to bring about change LEGALLY and with fairness to all parties. This is how America works, we don't get to pick and choose the laws we obey, we are subject to all of them, no matter our intentions.

No crap. You are supposed to be asking a question, this is not a forum for you to come climb on your pedestal and spout your propaganda.
Now to address your ignorant statement. I don't care what reasons they came here for. They did it illegally. What part of breaking the law don't you understand? Have you ever heard of Ellie Nesler? If not, let me explain. She killed a man in court, who raped her son. That was a noble action in my eyes, but she still went to prison over it. You know why? Because she BROKE the law. The illegal aliens are breaking the law. They need to be punished(deported). Anything other views you want me to tear apart???

It is not noble to steal subsidized services such as education and health care. There are people helping to pay the subsidies for the programs used by illegals who are themselves struggling to get their children educated, and who cannot afford health insurance. Since we subsidize even those of our poor who pay all appropriate taxes, it is expensive to let in poor immigrants. Accordingly we limit the amount of poor allowed in, as do other developed countries that subsidize services. That is why the line is long. That is why jumping the line is stealing.
Stealing is not noble.

I would have no problems, if they (from Mexico) didn't take ALL OUR JOBS!!! Hell, its expensive for anyone to live here, let alone, people taking taxpayers money, in the form of free food or them always going to the free clinic, and pushing their way up, just so they can get the health care! I do believe in helping others, but not those that have tooken stuff from us, and expecting more... I live in a little Mexico, and I see them, always selling drugs!, causing problems, blaring music at 2 in the morning, just causing nuensense...
