Do you feel that the death penalty should be abolished or expanded? Why?

I'm basically looking for arguments for and against the death penalty and what your general sentiments are about the issue.

I do not think it will. I think people will make a decision based upon the candidates that are on the ballot, not upon who is currently in the White House.
If you believe it will, then why did Gore not win HUGE in 2000?
Clinton was very popular, was he not?

Thank You, As Always!

This is exactly why the Electoral College now needs to be removed. My vote won't count! Maybe it's time for a direct election! If we had a direct election then everyone's vote would count! This is just another reason why our country is falling to the wayside. It's time we modernized some more.

Why is the NAACP praised for its work promoting the black race, yet if there was a National Association for the Advancement of WHITE People, all hell would break loose?
Same with all the similar examples:
The WET:WHITE Entertainment Television
The United WHITE College Fund
A Soul Train equivalent for Whites
Special Entertainment awards shows for White actors, musicians, etc. ...
I thought the whole idea of the Civil Rights Act was to enable persons of color to join in all of the rights and priveleges Whites enjoyed;no more "Seperate but Equal"
If white businessmen were as racially self-promoting as black-run businesses, there would be discrimination lawsuits untold !
What if White politicians, actors, and TALK SHOW HOSTESSES were to state openly that"We,as white people, must stand together",as is often stated on national television and radio ?
And worst of all, what if white people showed the same open disdain and contempt for black people that black people show for white ?

I'm a big play-by-play and talk radio geek. I love listening to play by play of sports from all over the country. I have also recorded tons of North Carolina Tar Heel Basketball Broadcasts and talk shows such as Opie and Anthony , Jim Rome , etc over the internet. The question is whether it's legal for me to do this for my own personal use. There was a story in the paper about a year ago http://blogcritics.org/archives/2006/06/08/092357.php about RIAA going after XM for recording things , even if it was for personal use. On Brightspot.tv , you are forbidden from making any recording of their advertisements , even if it is for personal use. So with the legality of whether you can record content for personal use in question , is it ok for me to continue recording North Carolina basketball broadcasts and talk shows off the internet? I'd really like to listen to them on my mp3 player.

Okay I went thru meps in late oct. and the medical ppl say I'm goin blind in one eye and that if I got into a fight I would be blind. They asked for my paperwork from my doctors in later years about my eyes and they sent it off to the main army base to see if they will approve me or not. It's been a month and I'm still waiting.. does this mean I'm not going to get in? I'm ready to ship for basic.. I'm trying to leave mid Jan early Feb. I'm trying to join the army active duty, not reserves. Someone help! I'm really hoping the accept me.. cuz I'm READY!

Please do not answer in a haste saying something like "report him". Because in this case you function in a governmental system, where everybody who is somebody is after abusing whatever little powers they have over public money to their personal benefits. The guy you would have to report to would in all probability be laundering more public funds. To top the situation, your perosnal circumstances wouldn't let you quit the job. Further, you cannot go the press, because the extent of laundering is not sensational enough, even as the collective abuse of financial powers has gigantic adverse effect on the overall performance of the organization.
