If a persons goes out to drink-
has 2 much to drink-
gets behind the wheel of his/her car and as a result causes a major accident and people die..but he walks away with just a few bumps and bruises.

He knew what he was doing when he walked into the bar
He knew what he was doing when he was order all his drinks
he knew he didn't have a ride home

I know he didn't plan on killing innocent people but he knew what he was doing could kill someone one. So why does he get off with a ligher sentence than someone who commits murder ??

This is not an inflammatory question. I want to hear about things that I may have overlooked. I've pretty much already decided that I'm voting for Ron Paul if he's nominated, or runs as an independent. Nearly everything about him that I've read and heard is positive. I want you to point out bad things about him. I've got all the reasons to vote for him, but I want to be certain that I'm making the correct decision this time around.

I have heard that Ron Paul would supposedly harm financial aid for college students, but no supporting evidence was given for that claim. Please give supporting evidence for your claims.

Even if the fact that he is wealthy means that he can't possibly really care about less fortunate people (which is ridiculous), why does it matter? If he enacts policies that help these people, who cares why he's doing it?

If you simply oppose helping the poor in general, that is a completely separate issue....

The police in LosAngeles County were chasing some idiot all over the county. He eventually slid into a mountain side in Azusa Canyon and rolled his car. The best part was when he got out and tried to run but apparently was too injuried and collapsed to the ground!

It seemed to me that the police let these chases go on way to long. I know they were using caution because he was reported to possibly have a shotgun but come on. Racing up and down busy LA streets seams to me to be incredibly dangerous to the public. And then they chased him up a two lane mountain road where he was going around corners and could have taken someone out head on.

Does anyone else agree these go on too long? What would be a good solution to end them quicker? I'm all for just shooting the driver (I KNOW this will offend someone... everyone has civil rights...); my wife suggests a forgetting the spike strips... how about a wall of flame. He can stop or drive through it. If he stops chase over, if no

Not so long ago in the days of westward expansion, if a person stole the horse of another, the thief could expect to be hung if caught. I fail to see how stealing a car should be considered different. Surely car theft is more serious in nature as the possibilities for harming innocent people is far greater (particularly in the case of "joyriding."
I am confident of the vociferous objections from "liberal apologists" but would expect support from good law abiding citizens who recognise the difference between good and bad.

A 10-year-old Ocala, Florida girl brought a small steak in her lunch to school and a small kitchen knife to cut it. She now faces a felony charge after being arrested.

I think Florida needs to focus on the real threats to American children.
