Well if people really want change in USA you must bring back Majority Rule under a true direct consensus democracy by legal amendment ending republic of ---! We the people means of/by/for in the constitution & we have Fascist Representative government. http://www.grinningplanet.com/2004/11-11/direct-democracy-plutocracy-article.htm

you shouldn't and you don't need to.
the most powerful statement you can make these days is where you spend your money.
our election process has become a national disgrace, where we are offered either very limited choice or no choice at all.
so, we are left to talk with our wallets.
here's how i do this:
i don't shop at walmart because i don't approve of our trade imbalance and our govt needs the chinese to loan the usa money to fund it's debt - all created because our govt is run by (literally) infants who can't help but spend money we don't have - $12 billion a month in iraq alone.
i don't have any credit cards - that's right - not a single one. i have two atm cards that are connected to bank accounts. this way, i finance nothing. if i don't have enough money in my bank accounts to buy something, i don't buy it.
i have exactly zero debt - my way of protesting the loan shark rates that are now standard for all credit cards and are endorsed by the criminals who run our govt.
i purchased my car with cash - so guess what - i don't drive a bmw or a mercedes. but it sure is a nice car and it's all mine - no payments or more importantly no interest.
i could go on and on, but you get the point.

Lol. It's the way it's been. These are smart people. They have us in debt now too. I believe this was a problem long ago when businesses owned the towns. (the company store, etc.)
We aren't gaining any ground. I would love to start my own business but I don't have the time and I don't have the money. Also there is a lot of competition. I don't think there is enough demand because too many people are in this situation.
Edit: What choice do we have? I like having a roof over my head and clothes on back. I need to eat. I try to do the best I can with what I have been given. I try to live a relatively happy and peaceful existence. I'm working on a Masters and working. I volunteer. In the end, the only thing you can do is try to make yourself happy. I am voting for kucinich.

People really need to get over this idea that we should hate rich people in the USA. This is a free country offering the American dream to each of it's citizen's. It is working people who have the stamina to become their business, or advance their education doing whatever it takes to become wealthy. It's out there for you to make. It's only how ambitious a person is. These are the people who create jobs for less ambitious people. The sky is the limit here, so stop whining it doesn't help.

Because if I dont work then my family doesn't eat. So therefore I work. Do I care that someone makes money off of me? Not really. Its called a business and they would not exist if there wasn't money to be made by those who run them. I do however think its gross how much executives of large corporations make. If their salaries were cut in half they would still be very wealthy and things wouldn't be as expensive.

If you can't beat them, join them.
Don't work for them! Become them.
There is NO other way. Seriously. Once you stop being so angry and realize you have the exact same opportunities (I am making the assumption that you are in the United States) then it all becomes quite clear.
Most of them were born working class too. They rose above. You can too!
Take charge of your life and stop blaming others.
YOU are the only one that can do that.
