I was recently promoted at my company.. My new boss was begging me to work for her and i took the job. Now, what all she does is talk down to me and blame me for stuff i didn't even do, like loosing papers or taking things out of order. I put in one hundred and ten percent and she treats me like a total piece of garbage, embarrasses me and talks down to me in front of co workers. The other day i came back from vacation and didnt get home till 5 in the morning cause my plane was delayed and she said in front of everyone "what are you on todday" and she knew i was tired (bc i made a mistake) she is rude, obnoxious and promised me "more Pay" and i havent seen that yet. I need this job because i need experience until i can find a better job so im out of luck here. i need to be at this position for at least a year and its only the 2nd month. should i report her to the higher ups or just take the abuse and embarassement. I work really hard and she knows it...why is she doing this?

There have been lots of different Secretaries of State of the United States. This position, besides putting the person 4th in line to the presidency behind the vice-pres., speaker of the house, and president of the senate, can be very instrumental in the manner in which countries get along with the U.S. Recent Secretaries of State have included Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice, Margaret Albright, along with other famous ones such as Henry Kissinger, Dean Rusk, John Foster Dulles, etc. Who was the best, in your opinion, and why? Who was the worst?

I attend a public school, and there is a printed form and an online form for the code of conduct.

As it says in the code of conduct, that there HAS to be a "Reasonable and timely notice of all rules, regulations, policies and penalties to which they may be subject."

Reccently (last Tuesday), my school decided to give detentions to ANY one seen hugging or holding hands with ANY other person.

Siblings are under fire, friends are under fire, and relationships are under fire.

It also says in the code of conduct that the "comission of sexual intercourse, rape, sodomy, or indecent exposure (moonign or like activities)." is prohibited at all times.

Theres also a site based descision making counsel made up of two parents, three teachers, and a board member for when they want to change the code of conduct.

That meeting did NOT take place when they put in this rule

Are my rights as a girlfriend, friend, and sister being violated?
Can they rightfully do this?

If abortion isn't murder then why does a criminal get charged with 2 murders for killing a pregnant woman. I understand that he took away her right to choose to abort the child but, isn't dead, dead? If the criminal just hurt the mother but killed the unborn child shouldn't he just be charged with assault? Why do the courts view an unborn child has a life criminally yet give a mother the right to terminate a pregnancy? Would it be the same has if she wanted to kill her 3 year old? It is HER child.

I understand the slippery slope we are treading on but hasn't precedent already been established? A mother can be institutionalized to protect an unborn child from her drinking yet, the mother can abort it?

The following statement made me proud to serve in Iraq. How do you view it or how does it make you feel?

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patrioitic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miseerable creature and has no chance of being free unless made so and kept so by the exertions of better men [and women] than himself [or herself]. A 10-year-old Florida girl faces felony weapons charges after bringing a small steak knife to school to cut up her lunch, according to a report on WFTV.com.
School officials say the Ocala 5th grader had brought a piece of steak for her lunch, and had brought a steak knife. According to the report, a couple of teachers took the utensil and called authorities, who arrested the girl and took her to the county’s juvenile assessment center.
"She did not use it inappropriately. She did not threaten anyone with it. She didn't pull it out and brandish it. Nothing of that nature," explained Marion County School Spokesman Kevin Christian, who added that it made no difference what the knife was being used for, they had no choice but to call police.
"Anytime there's a weapon on campus, yes, we have to report it and we aggressively report it because we don't want to take any chances, regardless," Christian said.
The girl now faces a felony charge for possessing a weapon on school property.

I recently purchased some original music from this person over the internet. He is semi popular I met him via his website on both myspace and his personal one. In the past I purchased things from him with no problem. I sent the check to his home residence he received it and afterwards said he'd be sending the things since then I have tried numerous times to contact him and sees he is receiving my messages and reading them. I plan on sending a certified letter to him to make sure he signs it but I have no clue what I should do. It seems contractual in nature yet I would rather report it. Im not sure whats the best avenue?

commandments have no component in our laws...such as the one dealing with religion and the worshiping of idols. The reason is that we know a lot more about the world and have moved away from such things.

How old are you?
What is your political party affiliation?
How do you feel about America having a deficit?
How do you feel about America having a large national debt?
Why do you feel that America has such a large national debt?
What is your solution for solving the national debt?

Note: A deficit is how much money you owe in a period, a debt is the accumulation of all deficits. Example: You buy a cheeseburger with a credit card, you have a $1 deficit. You do the same for a whole month, and at the end of the month you will have a $31 debt.

I bet Gov Corzine is elated that he prefers to defend the rights of child rapists & child killers than the right of the children that are raped & murdered. And please don't give me that crap that we shouldn't judge who lives & who dies. I'm so fed up with those who think the life of an innocent child is worthless while thinking the life of a child rapist & killer is more worth saving.

Jesse Timmendequas is the sex offender who murdered 7-year-old Megan Kanka in 1994. The case inspired Megan's Law, which requires law enforcement agencies to notify the public about convicted sex offenders living in their communities.

Congratulations criminal lovers. . You saved the life of a man who had no problem raping & killing an innocent little girl. I hope that makes you people happy.

"The dozen states that have chosen not to enact the death penalty since the Supreme Court ruled in 1976 that it was constitutionally permissible have not had higher homicide rates than states with the death penalty, government statistics and a new survey by The New York Times show.

Indeed, 10 of the 12 states without capital punishment have homicide rates below the national average, Federal Bureau of Investigation data shows, while half the states with the death penalty have homicide rates above the national average. In a state-by- state analysis, The Times found that during the last 20 years, the homicide rate in states with the death penalty has been 48 percent to 101 percent higher than in states without the death penalty."

Some time ago I bought an ebook on ebay (Windows XP for dummies) and was told I had the right to re-sell it - which I did for 99p.

But this morning I recieved a letter from America informing me that John Wiley (who they say own the copyright on the ebook) want me to refund them the 99p that I was paid and they are also demanding £50 from me?

Are they for real? There is no way I'm paying them £50. Has anyone else ever had any experiences like this?

They told me that I'm forbidden to tell anybody about their demand for 'settlement' so of course I intend to scan their letter and post it all over the internet!
