The police in LosAngeles County were chasing some idiot all over the county. He eventually slid into a mountain side in Azusa Canyon and rolled his car. The best part was when he got out and tried to run but apparently was too injuried and collapsed to the ground!

It seemed to me that the police let these chases go on way to long. I know they were using caution because he was reported to possibly have a shotgun but come on. Racing up and down busy LA streets seams to me to be incredibly dangerous to the public. And then they chased him up a two lane mountain road where he was going around corners and could have taken someone out head on.

Does anyone else agree these go on too long? What would be a good solution to end them quicker? I'm all for just shooting the driver (I KNOW this will offend someone... everyone has civil rights...); my wife suggests a forgetting the spike strips... how about a wall of flame. He can stop or drive through it. If he stops chase over, if no

I would suggest before someone says "the police should have let him go" realize this suspect committed the offense of assault with a deadly weapon which prompted the pursuit!

It's also sad to see how some blame pursuits on the police when in actuality the suspect(s) should realize their actions of running can cause serious harm or death. The person or company that developes the technology which will enable police to engage a device to electronically disable a vehicle will become extremely wealthy!

The police are responsible to the citizens for making their neighborhoods and communities a safer place for the law-abiding and taxpaying citizen...not the criminal.

Maybe we should just let the criminals have the keys to our cars and homes and let them have their way!

Just don't call the police when you do decide that's the way to do things!

The officers should not be held accountable for the suspect running and hurting someone. Now if one of the officers makes a move that is not allowed by policy, then that is a different story.
There are people working on safe ways to disable a car.
