He cannot be the maverick he was in 2000 because the lobbyist he fought so staunchly gathered there money and flooded the airwaves after his big wins in New Hampshire. This time around he is remaining low key but his agenda has not changed. He is the most qualified and most consistent politician America has ever known.

Mick? Read a book or something. Sorry, I assumed you had an attention span big enough to handle such a task.

Who is #1---Let's not forget. He had to forge a deal with Kennedy in order to even get a Bill to the presidents desk. Failure to do so would make the Republicans look weak. He did the best he could. When the opposition seeks more Democratic votes what is one to do? They allowed a weak bill to go to the president to show partisanship and it back fired. Open borders is not a Conservative or Republican one, But it is a Democratic and Liberal one. Place the blame on Kennedy where it belongs.

McCain certainly had the right stuff in 1967. In politics he's not a team player, which is good. But he was a primary author of the recent Amnestia coup. I was impressed when Americans woke up for a minute and said NO. Didn't think we had it in us anymore, to remember that we-the-people own this place.

As a long-time resident of southern California I have seen the future of America, and the future does not speak english. McCain is on the wrong side of one of the most important issues facing America, illegal immigration.

A nation is defined by its borders, its language and its culture. McCain seems to have become such a reasonable man that he has forgotten what he once fought for.

Nothing can take away that McCain is a hero and a very brave man. I just wish I could agree with him on a few issues or that he would explain more about how he intends to keep jobs in the United States rather then allowing them to be distributed on foreign ground to people who are getting slave wages. Many Americans are losing their jobs to illegal immigrants or accepting substandard wages just to keep the same job as the cost of goods and services stay the same or continue to rise. I wish he would discuss the solutions this country needs when it comes to the flawed free trade agreements that are holding American citizens in bondage. The value of our dollar is dwindling and we are in a serious economical crisis. All I hear him say is that the free trade system is a good one and benefits this country. It hasn't benefited the middle class people at all in the US or in Mexico. It has however benefitted corporations who push for it and in turn the corporations downsize their american workforce and/or restructer a workforce of multitasking employees who work two jobs for the price of one.

I will always compliment John McCain for his heroic deeds while serving this country in the military but he is still serving the American people as an elected official and needs to continue his heroic deeds with the decisions he makes.

God Bless him and all the others who are planning on becoming our President.

Thank you for posting this. I really like Mccain, I just don't think he can beat the libs so I'm backing another horse.
I sincerely appreciate your support for this great American though.
I also didn't know it was his plane that got hit on the Forrestal.
I studied that video in ROTC in college.

I really wish McCain didn't go senile. If he was like he was around 99-2000, I would definitely vote for him. The video was nice, but too bad it wasn't made independently of his input :(

McCain's a criminal. Don't you remember Charles Keating and the S & L scandal? He should still be in prison, not the white house.

Looks like the same political tripe to me. "Faith in God" blah blah blah, "Courageous to fight".....some one please hand me a barf bag. I don't want some one to play the "emotion" card, I want some one to give me the facts, and prove to be a realistic, rational leader.
