Other countries have been or are suspected as having numclear warheads but those are what is currently listed; it is thought that at one time Israel shared or helped the Union of South Africa to develop them but thye are no longer listed.
Russia has consistently had the largest and most powerful of the nuclear warheads; the U.S. has been second and usually smaller but more accurate warheads. Since most are missile launched the number of nuclear equipped weapons would be considerably less as most missiles would have multiple warheads within the ((MIRV's)

The USA process's the largest active nuclear arsenal although the former soviet union is a close second. All other nations are in comparison pretty small. Britain and China have 200 nuclear warheads each.

Sorry GunnyC that is only Ballistic Missiles, need to take into account depth charges, torpedoes, cruse, artillery etc. that gave the US a bit of a lead thanks to our agreement to limit the number of intercontinental missiles, I do not think we will ever have more of those, not that I would want the most.

The USSR is No. 1, by a fairly wide margin. USA is No. 2. I believe China is 3, France 4, and Britain 5.
