"About 1,200 Turkish military monitors have operated in northern Iraq since 1996 with permission from local authorities. A tank battalion has been stationed at a former airport at the border town of Bamerni and a few other military outposts were scattered in the region. Ankara rotates the troops there."
This is an invasion?

In the first place, it's not the regular Kurdish population that causing the problems with the Turks, it's the Kurdish rebels. That's who the Turks are after, and I agree with the Turks. The Kurdish rebels are acting like the Taliban towards Turks.

This mess is all Bush. Invasion from Turkey,Iran helping with weapons and Syria helping with fighters, if Iraq isn't a mess maybe this will open other peoples eyes. The middle east is a powder keg and it is all the presidents fault. So much as getting greeted as liberators with flowers as in WW2

When did we form an alliance with the Kurds? The Turks are presumably protecting themselves from incursion by Kurdish rebels.
