I have had a couple people yelling at me for having a picture they claim to own, hosted on my website. They demand I take it down, but cant do anything to prove they own the picture, or that they have a copyright on it. The only thing they can prove at all, is that they had it on their website for 3 months longer then I have.

Is their claim valid if they have no proof or paperwork on the copyright? And since their website has the picture up for all the public to see, save, or take as they please, am I really in fault for putting it up on my website under the same conditions they have?

The image is not all that important to me, I just hate the idea of packing down from a loudmouth that cant back their claim. If I do that every time, I wouldnt be able to have so much as a smiley face icon on my website.

I'm not unbiased in any way, but I'm disgusted.

Why do people from both sides ask completely leading and useless questions on here? Both sides do the same thing.

One side calls the other liars and the other side returns.

Why can't we ask some real questions here and drop the veiled insults?

Here's the link from ABC News:

I heard on one of the other networks who reported this story that there are 5 or 6 or more other claims of this happening by other American women.

What should the American government do about this?

Is it possible that the U.S. government has no jurisdiction in protecting U.S. citizens employed for overseas work?

Pat Buchanan, Newt Gingrich, & George W. Bush are in a boat in the middle of the ocean. The boat is sinking. Who gets saved? The American People!

Or you could change it to be:
John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama are in a boat in the middle of the ocean. The boat is sinking. Who gets saved? The American People!

Hello,
I was curious, My fiancee is in a middle of a lawsuit with McDonalds for a case in which earlier this year she was struck in the head by a metal pole that wasnt position correctly on a outdoor table and had debris and was not secure. She suffered a mild concussion, and missed about a week of work for time off and doctor appointments. The Attorney at first asked for $7500 but McDonalds would like to settle with $5200 which would cover hospital bills and then the lawyers cost which is 30% of the outcome. I Felt my fiancee is going to be in the end screwed over and need to get everyones opinion. Thank in Advance

A friend and i were talking about politics and i told him i was pro-life. then he called me a nazi...

funny thing is, it is the nazi's that were so for eugenics that they promoted abortion and euthenizing children but i guess people like him don't know or care about that because of their cognitive dissonance...

damn political correctness makes me sick....

and why do I get the distinct impression there is a bias against following the law and lowering the boom on these criminals and the ones who hire them?

Why does someone who oppose giving financial aid to children of illegal aliens portrayed as some sort of extremist? After all, its just plain logican that if you dont want illegal aliens you must remove all incentives that make them think we are softies that they can take advantage of.
