19yr son, given a breathalizer and detained..053% chargers filed.Iwasn't notified. Is this legal? Legally, can a 19yr old be ordered to court without his parent being notified? 19 not old enough to drink, but old enough to go to court without parents knowing about it?

If they are 18 and up then they are adults and legally responsible for their own actions. They can arrest him, charge him, make him go to court, and sentence him without having to legally notify you.

Uh - at 19 his an adult. They have no obligation to notify the parents. Just because he is under the legal drinking age does not mean they have to notify you.

He is a "big boy" now and considered an adult. No obligation to have things reported to you now. 19 is old enough to serve jail time also. Real jail, not the kiddie farm.

He is 18 and legally and adult who broke the law. Sorry mom, but he has to wiggle himself out of this one.
