I would think that it was time to jump out!

My answer would have to be a question being how did he/she get passed the metal detectors and security especially now with anybody that looks dodgy they get a thorough examination if you know what i mean. Also how would you know if he was a suicide bomber or not if hes sitting next to you on a plane he would be covered up. If he is ticking as your getting on the plane you make a sharp exit towards the door, and if he/she sits next to you in mid flight its pretty much tough doodoo cos there aint much you can do about it unless you speak arabic or what ever language they do and be a negotiator and talk them out of it.

First of all a Suicide Bomber would not let you know he was a suicide bomber, he would just sit down and blow up. But what do I think about suicide bombers? I think that anyone that feels like they have no other way to get there point across than killing themselves and others around them is sad. I would like to be mad and condemn these people but I can't because, as a black woman in America, I have to think about, if my elders had the means to make bombs and blow up master, they surely would have. We have to stop creating this world were suicide bombers feel it needed to do what they do....

How would I even know this information? And what does this have to do with a person being liberal? If any thinking person (conservative or liberal) knew that a suicide bomber was sitting next to them on the plane (and how they would know that - I can't begin to imagine - unless they overhear that person stating their plans to someone else or see some sort of bomb making material) they'd alert the authorities. That has nothing to do with political leanings - it is all about common sense. Geesh.

I would be thrilled to have the opportunity to explain to the terrorist that we Liberals are not his enemy. We are his friend.

Maybe we can have a diplomatic solution. Perhaps the reason the terrorist is so mean is because he never had a puppy doggie. You know, many prisons now use puppies to calm down the vitriolic felon population. It really works. Maybe all it would have taken to avoid this costly war was to send some cute-as-a-button Cocker Spaniels and Bichons to Saddam Hussein. Bet you never thought of THAT, did you Mr. bellicose Conservative?

At our last combined Global Warming/National Security meeting, we decided by unanimous vote that the reason these terrorists are so grumpy is because they don't have the affection of a little puppie doggie. These villified, misunderstood, fellow human beings are just a puppy doggie away from being good and compassionate people. Even Barbra Streisand's psychiatrist of 27 years concurred; these terrorists are not dangerous per se. We should welcome their diversity

Currently, we are trying to devise a method to ship heart-melting puppy doggies to the terrorists. We're trying to learn from past mistakes. You see, Jane Fonda tearfully told us about how she tried this approach back during the Vietnam war. She brought a whole basket of adorable, frisky little puppies to the Viet Cong, assured that this would cement an everlasting friendship.

However, and this breaks Jane's heart, she wasn't aware of the cultural differences: in Vietnam they eat dogs, not have them as pets. About an hour after giving her little bundles of joy to the Viet Cong, they served her lunch. I don't need to say anything further...

So, as a progressive, open-minded Liberal, I would welcome the fantastic luck of getting to sit next to a suicide bomber. We would be fast friends in no time. I can't wait to see what he names the puppy.

If he is in good health, and can pass a physical exam,
I would suggest he would by some life insurance, and make
"Who ever talked him into doing this" his beneficiary.
May be he may ask me "Why?" and start a conversation
to talk about who would benefit by killing himself, and how he should plan his death, in details.

If that doesn't work, I explain to him Life Insurance contestable period of at least 2 years, so he must wait at least 2 years before he can kill himself; and by then, the plane will land .

In answer to Neville W above, I understand the place you're coming from, yet you should save in mind that in case you or I knew that one among our neighbours became a terrorist then we would with a bit of luck turn them in. the adaptation between us and the indigenous race in Iraq or Afghanistan is that maximum of them won't turn in, persons that they have got self belief of being terrorists. remember of certainty, there are very very few muslims interior the united kingdom who be able to show the finger at those of their communities who help terrorism. for that reason, the muslim communities worldwide huge will continuously be tarred with an identical brush because of the fact the terrorist components among them.

Well if the guy is being that obvious about it, I'd be wondering why the airline didn't do something about it before he sat down.

NeoCon, I'd think "6 years, and George W. Bush still hasn't figured out how to get security right for airplanes."
