Because if they banned it there would be negative population growth in Utah to the extent that eventually nobody would be alive there and they couldn't collect taxes. The state would have to be dissolved and then absorbed by the neighboring states. If the idae of no sex caught on there, they would suffer a similar fate. Soon the no-sex plague would wipe out all human life in the USA...except the illegal immigrants who would flood the nation. But they, too, could fall victim to the no-sex plague so the USA would be a giant toilet flushing all human life down the drain.
After 2 generations the world would be devoid of human life all because of Utah and the Mormons. And that is why you shouldn't vote for Mitt Romney. If elected humanity will die and the cockroaches will take over.
This all sounds logical, doesn't it?

You may have sex in Utah if you have a permit. Married people have a longer time to use their permits due to lack of interest. Now in single bars the new pick-up lines are "What's your sign? What do you do for a living? Do you have your permit with you?"

I was talking about some crazy laws Utah has with a couple of attorneys in my office on Monday and one of them is, you can only have sex in Utah to procreate, any other sexual activity is illegal.
