Why all the partisan talk?

I'm not unbiased in any way, but I'm disgusted.

Why do people from both sides ask completely leading and useless questions on here? Both sides do the same thing.

One side calls the other liars and the other side returns.

Why can't we ask some real questions here and drop the veiled insults?

Before anyone says it, yes I support one side and its fairly obvious, but those who support the same things as me are as guilty as the other side.

The first answer is obviously a copy-paste, seeing that its the same as other posts the same way... come up with something original.

Yes, I'll admit that they're not veiled very well, but they have to be some, or they wouldn't be allowed on Y!A.

This type of activity occurs in the Yahoo! forums, and indeed throughout the web, because it is the best place for people to vent there anger without having to face reality. All posters are protected from confrontation by the internet, and if they begin to lose a debate, they can simply go somewhere else and not respond anymore.

I too would like to see more facts and less opinionated tripe. Unfortunately, the only facts that can be presented must come from internet sources, which themselves are often biased.

Simple. Events and culture in this country are coming to a head. One way or the other, things are going to be settled in the not too distant future. I've picked my side, same as you. This is where a little venting occurs. Probably healthier than many alternatives. For me, a little ranting here helps me keep plugging along everyday when I am forced to play nice with people whose opinions and values I despise.

Agreed. I will be the first to poke fun at my opponents positions. Mainly I come here to relieve some day-to-day stress, but I find it hard to believe what people's opinions are on politics. We as a country should understand that the only way to improve our situation is the art of compromise.

Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, Communists, Liberal, Conservative, WHATEVER label you wear, do not have all the answers. In business, you compromise...in a marriage, you compromise. The sooner we get politicians who are able to make compromises, the better our soul as a nation will heal.

We have an adversarial political system and during each election cycle,the rhetoric picks up.I don't know if it's right or wrong but it's the system we've used for 200+ years and since we haven't descended into chaos,apparently,though flawed,it works.
