I never knew a contract signed by a 16-year-old could be binding in any case, but what's up with this?

LA judge says Hudgens suit can go ahead
Thu Dec 6, 8:18 AM ET
LOS ANGELES - A lawyer who claims "High School Musical" lead Vanessa Hudgens owes him $150,000 in legal fees can proceed with his lawsuit against the teen star, a judge ruled Wednesday.

Superior Court Judge Tricia Ann Bigelow said she or a jury should decide whether the actress acted within a reasonable period of time when she waited two years to repudiate a contract she signed when she was 16.

I hope Hilary and Guiliani make it to the Primary. I don't want Obama whatsoever. Not because of his race as I think Colin Powell would have made a fantastic President, but because of his views on things. He is very much for giving illegal immigrants rights and I think everyone that enters this country should do so legally. No reason to do anything legally if you can get rights anyways....

for my politics class we have to create an advertisement to promote or warn against the following...

An increase in jobs available to young people
- as approx. 25% of the labour force retires it is expected that labour shrotages will occur
- the industries most likely to face shortages include education and health care

ok so we have to create a slogan or catch phrase advertisement to promote or warn against this impact..any ideas? thank you.

Quite frankly, I'm not a Mitt fan, but I think his speech and his approach to the topic was brilliant. I think this one speech will be the deciding factor for many that will deliver him the nomination of his party. As far as a speaker goes, I don't think there is another candidate from either side that can come accross as genuine as he just did. Any thoughts?

I talk to so many people about the war and I always hear different point of views. I have a fiance who is currently serving at Camp Taji which is slightly north of Baghdad. He has been there since July and probably won't return home until October. First I am pretty perplexed that he is a National Guard member, and has to serve such a long tour. Most of the people I know who are active duty and do this at their regular job have less lengthy tours. Why is this? I always thought the National Guard was hence here for the "National" defense. Also, as he has learned and told me the Iraqi army is VERY corrupt. But who would of thought, right? So do we really think that once our mission is accomplished in Iraq that the government will truly be capable of handling the issues that exist. I am so torn between what I feel. In a way I want the war to be over, but in a way I know that we need to complete the mission. If we don't all the lives lost so far were lost for nothing. Is that fair to them?

Yes, this is about the adjustable rate subprime home loans. If these people knowingly enter into these agreements, and then when the rate goes up they can't afford it any longer, shouldn't they be required to pay the consequences?

One of my biggest issues with Bush is how weak and indecisive he is and how late he always is to reacting to a tradgedy. Why didn't he help on home mortgages sooner why did he wait so long to react... http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071206/ap_on_bi_ge/mortgage_crisis

Obviously his actions are going to help the situation. Samething with the drilling in Alaska issue. If he really believes drilling in Alaska will help America why doesn't he declare in the interest of national security we need to drill in Alaska?

According to the authoritative Israeli newspaper, Haaretz, "Israel has known about the report for more than a month. The first information on it was passed on to Defense Minister Ehud Barak, and to Shaul Mofaz, who is the minister responsible for the strategic dialog with the Americans. The issue was also discussed at the Annapolis summit by Barak and U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, and it seems also between Bush and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert."

To say the least, this would put Bush in the unexplainable position of claiming he just found out about the NIE, while his administration had told the Israelis weeks ago that the Iranian nuclear bomb program was stopped in 2003. In short, Bush is basically wanting us to believe that he was the last to know about this "bombshell" intelligence finding.

Furthermore, the one mainstream media company that regularly seeks out the story behind the story (McClatchy Newspapers), reported this story on Nov. 4: "Experts: No firm evidence of Iranian nuclear weapons."

ICBM's existed before the moon landing. There is one Hell of a lot of difference in the missles Varner von Braun came up with as head of NAZA. The new ones hit the target. Minor detail.

With election season coming up, there are more and more bumper stickers out there. There are political signs springing up everywhere.

THIS IS NOT TARGETED AT ANY CANDIDATE!

While driving I have noticed some interesting trends and I want to hear what others think of it.

Are the supporters of a candidate showing something about the person they support by how they act or how they show their support?

I've noticed those with Ron Paul bumper stickers drive significanty above the speed limit and somewhat recklessly (that's coming from a former pizza delivery guy and confessed speeder). I've noticed a lot of the signs for him are fairly ratty.

Please give some of the things you have observed.

My Pastor told us that liberals hate Bush because he's a Christian. He told us that liberals don't like nobody that's got faith in the Lord. It actually makes me a little sad, thinking about how liberals are always trying to bring down this Christian Nation :-(
