When the law passed that all humans would have the same rights and none could discriminate colar that was supposed to be the end of segregation. sO WHY DOES THE Naacb exist? it only searves one race it isn't fair. Organizations that searve one race is illegle, so why does the organization still exist?
the goverment turns it's head for things like thta, but let a white person try to set up an organization like the naacb, and try to defend whites against black rascism then they would say something, I aint prejudice but the government is

If the Catholics believe this so much why aren't they busy in Mexico telling them to remove their wall and all countries though out the world. Why do these statements apply only to America but no where else?Thousands of Catholics from throughout the greater Los Angeles area gathered in East Los Angeles Dec. 2 to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe as the mother of all peoples -- from every language, race and culture.

A mile-long procession, the oldest religious procession in the city honoring Mary, led participants to East Los Angeles College Stadium, where Cardinal Roger M. Mahony and the auxiliary bishops of Los Angeles, numerous priests and more than 15,000 of the faithful gathered for Mass.

The theme this year was "Mother Without Borders: Bringing Down the Walls of Injustice." The event was part of a statewide call to action for comprehensive immigration reform by the California Catholic Conference of Bishops.

"The Virgin of Guadalupe is a symbol of hope and compassion for all who are marginalized," said the cardinal. "Today she continues to unite us as a humble people of God in search for understanding, compassion, peace and human dignity for all -- especially for our immigrant brothers and sisters who are being kept in the margins of society by a broken immigration system.""As those who have faith in Our Lady of Guadalupe I call you to join us today in demanding immigration legislation that allows us to transcend borders and break down the walls of injustice," Bishop Zavala said

As an agnostic, I was offended by Mitt Romney's assertion that only people with a religion have freedom. Am I wrong to assume that I have freedom without a religion?

I wouldn't agree with them half the time, but the Right-wing is so deeply planted, we need someone to rip them out and bring some moderation back to America.

Summon was issued from the bank on 28th of March 2007 which I've to pay all the payment for the credit card. It's my mistake that I have paid the credit card payment twice on the same month and on march I didn't pay a cent. However I managed to settled the payment on 18th July 2007 and cancelled the card.Unfortunately the solicitor've filed a summon on behalf of the bank and ask me to come to the court for hearing case on 10th Oct 2007 (the letter is on 24th Sept 2007). I just ignored it coz I have settled it.2nd letter come to me, that I've rude to the court and legall action will be taken against me if I'm not attending to the court again, and the hearing case postponed to 5th Dec 2007.I'm scared and went to the court at 2pm and wait for my turn.At 3.30pm the lawyer called my name and ask me to go home because they find out I've settled the payment. Wasting of time, money and energy. They didn't even say sorry. What will u do, if this happened to u?should i summon back

Shouldn't it be "freedom requires HOPE, not religion?"

"Freedom requires religion, just as religion requires freedom. Freedom opens the windows of the soul so that man can discover his most profound beliefs and commune with God. Freedom and religion endure together, or perish alone," he said.

I am currently renting an apartment with my boyfriend, about 3 months ago my parents ran into some financial issuses and didnt have anywhere to go. So to keep them from living on the streets and starving, I told them they could stay with me, sleep there when they needed and to eat. Well my landlord called me to tell me the water and sewer bill was higher than normal and asked if anyone else was living there. I told her that my parents were staying there some and that they were homeless right now so I was helping them out. Well anyway she told me I was violating my lease by having more than two people there. My parents were even away traveling for a while during the three month time span. Anyway, she came over to do an inspection of the place for whatever reason. My parents do not have any furniture they are sleeping on our sofas. Its not like they paid me anything what so ever for bills or rent - they didnt have anything or anywhere to go!!!! So she said that she wanted 800 dollars first then changed it to 500 when she found out the situation. So she wants me to send her 500 dollars right away, 200/mo for the past 3 months and another 200 for December. (But she changed it to 500 total now) for the water and sewer bill and wear and tear on the apartment by additional people. My parents are 57 and 61; they do not hardly do any wear and tear! Our lease is for 795/mo and 15/mo for water and sewer. Yes it says only 2 people, and yes I understand that. However, givin the situation I dont feel that I was doing any harm. I have done nothing but help people and my parents, I do not have 500 dollars to just give to them! I just paid rent and my car payment, and to top it off its Christmas time! I do not think that its fair to charge me that, there is no way the water and sewer for 3 months was that much! When my parents are there, they only get showers every other day to save water. I think the landlord is trying to rip me off. What do you think?

There was an employee who worked at my office from January until last month. At that time, the doctor we work for decided to terminate her because of many reasons. One of those reasons was because she could not guarantee him longevity due to personal reasons. He wanted to hire someone that would committ to working with him until his retirement in a couple of years.

The doctor agreed to give her a letter of recommendation for potential employers. In this letter he wrote a sentance that stated she was terminated because of his need to have enployees that can guarantee him lasting employment.

I received a phone call today stating that it is against HIPAA regulations to mention termination info in a letter of recommendation. Is that true? I have never heard of that before! Especially since the remainder of the letter emphasized how skilled she was. The doctor simply wanted to inform someone that she was not terminated due to any skill related issue.

Did he do wrong?

I am having problems with my neighbor on where the property line is. I bought my house over 8 years ago, before I moved in, a utilities company took down the back fence and layed down their lines and never put the fence back up. When I moved in, I put up a temporary fence, but it was not put in the proper place as the original fence losing about 4 feet of my land, now I am having trouble with the company that is behind my house, saying that it is their land and will not let me or my family cross behind my house where it is still my property. Can I just take down my fence and put it where it supposed to go, or should I get a land surveyor first to prove that it is my property?
