You can see your police record either at the police department or the courthouse (depending on where you live).
It is unlikely that a 12 - 15 year old misdemeanor is keeping you from getting a job. Many employers do not go back that far in their search. If they do, the application will indicate such by the wording of the question.
With something that old there are two main reasons an employer would hold it against a prospective employee:
1. Dishonesty - Application asks "Have you EVER been convicted of any crime" and the applicant answers no. Regardless of the crime, the applicant lied.
2. Dismissing a crime as nothing - I would never hire someone that attempted to excuse their past behavior by blaming the cops or anyone else.
Credit can also be an issue particularly if you have accounts in collections. Pull your credit reports by visiting http://www.annualcreditreport.com/. Only AnnualCreditReport.com is the free official site to get all three credit agency reports.

I would recommend Pre-Paid legal as a way to expunge your previous criminal record. You can use a regular attorney, but i have had great luck using this company for this, and a variety of other reasons. I would also refer you to one of the other answers to check your resumes for accuracy, and if they are "looking back" more than 10 years, you may have a more recent employer "unofficially" giving you a very negative referral. If all else fails, go to your local temporary staffing agency or state employment agency, and they have experts who will walk you through any issues you encounter. Good Luck!!

If u don't experience like ur in love w/ him anymore then it may be no project, the only element which will suck that u ought to get previous is how injury he's gonna be. as quickly as I informed mine it replaced into over i did not shed not a million tear and that's how I knew i replaced into making the right selection.

if its 12-15 years ago it will not affect you applying or getting a job, however what it could be is your credit. recently employers are pulling credit reports/checks on their possible employees and a poor credit score could result in you not being "right for the job" perhaps you have outsstanding credit card debt or something pending in your name you can check it at freeanualcreditreport.com google it. good luck.

Employers can't look back that far either, and a misdemeanor wouldn't be that big of a problem. If you're having difficulty finding work, there may be some other problem you need to address.

You can go the courthouse in the location where the crime was committed and see the disposition. However, if employers are going back that far I would be surprised. Are you sure it's not something else?

Depends ENTIRELY on the laws of your unknown country and/or State.
If you tell people where you are, you'll get better answers.
You 'may' be able to get it expunged, but it depends on local law.
