there is a country that has DEFIED the warnings of the USA in 1998 and actully tested a nuclear device marking the SECOND time they tested ABOVE GROUND. And is talking about maybe testing a third time. The country is India.

Since we are so concerned about Iran "maybe" having a WMD and so willing to engage with talk of WW 3 should we also consider engaging India as well ? Since 9/11 "changed everything" including foreign policy and relations with other countries (friendly or not), should we consider India a threat now ?

He did not mention atheists at all in his 'religious' speech. That did bother me.

Right now we have our armed forces fighting for us in Iraq. But if a draft were started do you think the war would end. Politicians who decide what is going on would have their sons and possibly daughters being sent into a war zone. Do you think because their own families would be involved in the issue that the soldiers would be coming home for good. To me it seems pretty bad that many politicians want us to keep fighting but if it were their own son or daugther they would be against sending them.

I don't get it--she came into politics on her husband's coattails. She was a quasi-cabinet member during the Clinton Administration and tried to get socialized healthcare passed--all without being confirmed by the Senate as a cabinet member. Then, whoopee! Guess who was geared up to run for Senator of NY when JKF Jr died? You BET...that was a happy day for Hillary, and it's why her Bill Clinton dragged the ocean using the US Navy until they found JFK and friends. She put up with her husband's philandering, promoting university female victimhood.

Now tell me, why would any self-respecting woman vote for THAT?

or anyone else with a resonable answer.

as a father it is my job to teach my children right from wrong.
to teach them to respect the law.
how can i teach them that it is o.k. to break some laws and not others?
how as a parent can i teach them it is alright to pick and choose which laws to obey?
it is my job if i want them to grow up to be law abiding citizens to teach them that all laws must obeyed and enforced.
so you tell me....how can i teach them it is o.k. to break the law and expect them to be anything other than criminals?

I've seen it time and time again. First, David Dinkins was supposed to beat Rudy Guiliani for New York City major by a HUGE majority; in fact, he won by only the slimmest of margins.

Same thing with Harold Ford, Jr. running for the Senate from Tennesse in 2006. He was neck-and-neck in the polls until someone showed a white girl saying "call me". He lost by more than pollsters had thought.

What do these political races (and others) have in common? IN POLLS, PEOPLE WANT TO LOOK NON-DISCRIMINATORY; IN THE ACTUAL ELECTION, THEY *DO* DISCRIMINATE.

Many fingers have been pointed at Mormons in judgement...calling them a cult, and questioning their perceived odd ways.

What about Huckabee being a Southern Baptist Minister?

I was raised a Southern Baptist....they are as strange as Mormons.

Southern Baptist beliefs:
1)They formed because they thought slavery ordained by God, based on literal interpretation of scripture. They apologized for their role in slavery in 1995! They are always behind time.

2) They believe in the subjective role of women as described by the Apostle Paul...women should not have positions of leadership in church...deacons or clergy...or government.

3) alcohol consumption is a sin
4) gambling is a sin
5) dancing is a sin
6) playing cards is a sin.

7) they believe that only protestants will go to heaven....no mormons, jehovah's witnesses, Catholics, Jews, Muslims, etc...

Do we want a president who is a minister of such an odd religion?

I'm not comfortable with having a minister as President of the United States. A minister is not the same as a simple church-goer. I would think that a minister would have an immediate conflict of interest, and frankly it scares me. What do you think?
