It appears to be telling us that the latest NIE report has stopped the President from attacking Iran.

But he never said he wanted to attack Iran.

He said he wanted them to not have a nuclear weapon.

And looks like they may have quit the same time as Libya, I wonder why.

It deals with several news stories. One was where a teacher was charged in a Middle Eastern country for allowing her students to name a Teddy Bear "Muhammad."
The one on corporate greed is self explanatory.
The landslide victory in Russian for Putin's party is expected to be a sham was the point of the other cartoon. As for too much Santa I guess has to do with the Obesity problem in America. I think this is what it means.

Many toys that were made in China have been recalled because they were dangerous. The cartoon alleges that "big corporations" allowed them to get into the hands of children.

Some English woman allowed one of her students to name her Teddie bear "Muhammad", and the Muslims wanted to flay her alive for it!

I don't get the other two, but keep in mind that MOST political cartoons are NOT funny in the first place.

He might be trying to show what's the in news, to the downside (bad toys, bad eating habits/food, absurd punishment for a teacher in the Sudan, business as usual in Russia) -- with his 4 quadrants... vs. what we are ALL experiencing with the Holiday Season and songs of 'Peace on Earth' & shopping/eating over the holidays, etc. (although this has been done countless times before, and far better.. he's using news of last week, for affect).

Clearly, he drew this a couple of days too early -- because the SHOOTING in MALL would have been perfect, and would have replaced the fat-santa or Russian Bear.. which are weaker choices that being gunned-down while mall shopping in December.

Top left is about the cheap lead infested toys shipped in from china. The top right is about the woman who was arrested for naming a teddy bear muhammad which in muslim countries is considered blasphmous. Bottom left is about overweight america. bottom right is about russian elections being rigged.

They dont seem to be related. Theres one about lead toys that we've been getting from corp america, the claim that santa is too fat, and the teacher that allowed the kids to name a teddy Mohammed.

NIE report has put a hole in Bush's Iranian nuke theory. It is the cartoonists opinion and a misinformed one as well.
