A good statesman / stateswoman can turn this around.
I find it painful that the best America can do is elect an imbecile to its highest office, and even more pained that it MIGHT do it again, possibly electing a man who doesn't even belief in Evolution (!!!) --- gee, how about the earth being round -- and this will subject us to more ridicule.
On the other hand, in all fairness to Bush, he is also viewed as crazy and dangerous, which might work in our favor in some perverted kind of way, at least until we play russian roulette once too often.
As for Congressional credibility being low, those poll numbers are often misinterpreted (as they were here). The low numbers mean that the American people are disgusted with the LACK of willpower to erase Bush's damage and change the course of the country.
Whatever your party, don't elect another dope to office, please. We cannot stand another GW Bush for 4 years.

I'm from Canada, so the mouse to the elephant just checks every now and then to see if the elephant is all wound up and jumping up and down about something.
As long as the elephant isn't twitching too badly in the high chair, everything will work out.
Seriously though, from the outside looking in, it doesn't appear that GW did much single-handedly - he had more than enough assistance and guidance from his strategy teams.
I'm sure any lost credibility will return with a new regime - time and new experience heals much.

Can credibility be less than zero? I think so. I might get on board with an idea or a candidate until Bush or neocons' begin supporting it and then start to have doubts.

I've always had a suspicion that Bushco and friends were deceivers - things were never so bad in the US until he was "elected" (and that still remains dubious).
The blood from killed Iraqi children will never wash from their hands and that's something they will have to live with. So I hope they live a very long life!

Yet another productive rant/question. How does it make YOU feel that none of the people currently running for office have any more credibility than the president? They are all on the take.

What is scarier is people are still defending him deflecting blame on the other party instead of the problems at hand.

All he has to do is see how congress fixes the fact that they are lower than him.
It's not that bad. All the people who hated us before he took office, still hate us. It's ok. It's mostly jealousy. Don't worry too much about it.
