Actually the Germans only developed one missile of any range-the V2 and is was fairly accurate, the V1 was an guided rocket. The increase in accuracy over the years are based mainly on the use and miniaturization of computers and components and the advent of GPS which allowed more accurate base data, The last ICBM's were very accurate, t I think within 100 yards, which is not bad considering the range. The Germans had developed other short range missiles and even the first TV guided bomb but what they had was limited because of computer size, pre-circuit board was huge, and power/computation speed being limited. The German's were working on an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile but never got it developed because of those shortfalls in technology of the day.
