ok obviously my last question didnt work out that well, as i got a bunch of people preaching about socialism. So here is a new question. what is wrong with helping people who need help. why is it so hard for americans to want to help out the less fortunate. I personally dont care about anyone really, from crackheads to the middle class american who cant afford cancer treatments. But im not against paying a little extra in taxes to provide health care for them, because i understand its the morally right thing to do. And dont anybody tell me i should pay for someones medical bills, I cant afford it. And for those of you who might throw the religious card and say that universal health care just supports the lazy and weak, aka sloth. go back and read the bible, look for the part about how you should treat others as you would be treated.

There are people who complain it takes away jobs, but these people don't mention outsourcing.

There are people who say illegal is illegal, but these people don't also have a crusade against illegal music downloading, teenage drinking, or even driving without a seatbelt.

The minutemen line up along the Mexican border, but not the Canadian border.

There just seem to be so many inconstancies. Is the real reason people are against illegal immigration because they are tired of all the Mexicans? Do they subconsciously give the other reasons because they don't want to accept that they have a phobia of Mexicans and/or other cultures.

First link shows people donating money since soldiers were sent off with no body armor to war while the second link shows Rumsfeld saying they can not account for 2.3 trillion dollars lost in DOD. That would have paid for a lot of body armor.

Kinda sick that they would deprive soldiers of their basic nessecities while filling their coffers.

I just watched an airing of 60 Minutes, and they were conducting an interview with a man that killed a woman 22 years ago. They say, now he can't be executed because he's "insane." The doctors give him a cocktail of medications everyday, in hopes that he'll be "healed" so to speak, then they can execute him. WHY????????????????

Have you ever seen the stack of money graph. It is based on the thickness of a dollar. The upper end has a big stack of cash compared to the average American.

I live in a European country. The person who lives on the floor below mine wants me to change some installed devices(bathroom ventilator) in the house where I live and pay the rent for 3 years because she just moved in and the noise annoys her.My question first of all is:Is it a right of mine, protected by the law,not to open my door if I don't want to? 2)Can I call the police if this person comes up to my door kicking on it,shouting and calling me stupid in the middle of the night? and one last thing:If the same person cuts off the electricity in my apartment from an outside-of-the-apartment switch can I then call the police???

I respect that people have the right to protest war, but without getting into a pro/anti war discussion (PLEASE). Is it prudent for protestors to demonstrate, and even scream obscenities at veterans for their service to our country, to the extent that they should attempt to prevent the NYC parade? Our veterans don't decide to go to war, they decide to serve their country. The majority would rather never see war time, but still put their lives on the line for our freedoms. Do we not owe them some respect on the one day we are called to appreciate their service? Can we not remember that if it were not for their courage in volunteering to serve, we would all be subject to the draft?

hillarys health care is a scam, got an e-mail from a friend of a friend in canada, he pays out 55% of his salary to the govt. for their health care system. which he says is really only a health diagnosis system. if you get sick, they give you a drug, their is no finding out whats really wrong with you, and if you so have a problem, you may wait 2 years to get it taken care of. and in canada, they say obese people are just a drain on the system. and the drugies are given clean needles, so as not to spread any more disease, at you expense, or course, because your paying for it out of you 55% tax, and immigrants, they pay nothing, all is free to them, again at your expense. and if you break a leg and have to have a special kinda of splint, you have to pay, because its not covered, neither ar alot of diabetic supplies, and we want this woman in the white house. I think not. how many of you out there are worried about this, I know I don't want to have to pay 55% of my salary, GOD HELP US...

I found it amazing to read that a woman who died recently was the widow of 2 different cival soldiers. the first she married when she was 18 and him in his 70s and 3 years later married again at 21 and him in his 80s. I never thought any widows of a soldier would still be alive. Anyway to the question, is there alot of children still alive who are children of soldiers? Would probably be in their 90s but i wouldnt be surprised if there is since i read about that woman
