I am so fed up with the me tooism of the ALP and Liberals. They may as well be one party with factions fighting for power. I am not going to vote for any of them. Please don't say I am ignorant. I have a degree in politics, am politically active in a union and other groups but cannot bring myself to support these corrupt parties. The Greens and Democrats are no solution as they have some pretty scary policies. Is vote refusal an option for people?

With all their spitting on returning troops and being the terrible people they were, did it somewhat taint anti war efforts ever since? I am very interested in the Rights opinion of this question. Do ya'll hear anti war protests and automatically think they are those types of trash?

I just learnt all about it and I am shocked. America cut off cuba from the rest of the world? Why? Is it because of Castro? I dont think so I think they want to own Cuba!
Cuba relied on imported food and imported oil like most countries once they were cut off the average Cuban lost 20kg or something like that. America left them to die doesn't care for the fellow men, won't let other countries help them even fair trade with them! YET THEY HAVE A NAVAL BASE GUANTANAMO BAY on their f@#$%*! land?
thats rude if you ask me!
What do you reckon?

I am anti war, anti abortion, anti death penalty, anti arms trade, anti weapons of mass destruction (including US weapons). I am puzzled by anti war people who don't think twice about late term abortion or anti abortion people who support capital punishment To me all these acts are violent and degrade life. Isn't it time for a consistent respect for human rights and life?

The war on Iraq has now killed more civilians than were killed in the attacks on September 11. Iraqis are bombed in their homes, have their cars shot up by mercenaries, have their houses raided and their lives controlled by the US military. Is this terrorism?

Either he isn't that good or he has little control over interest rates . Both question his argument that the Liberals are the best to manage the economy.
If they are so good why didn't they manage to at least restrict the rises? Maybe they aren't so good after all!!
Also if they have little control, then if Labor get in it will have little impact on the interest rates. For example the Reserve Bank has acknowledged that Howards promises will only put inflationary pressure on the interest rates forcing them up.Second they have said that Labor's plan to address the skill shortage will help reduce the pressure on interest rates!
Also why didn't the Howard government listen to the Reserve Banks 20 warnings to address the skills shortage to reduce the pressure on the interest rates, Howard ignored them and 10 rate rises later with more predicted is the result!!

This govenmnet hasn't managed the economy well. They came in during the mining boom, cut funding and sold public assest!!!

First go to Afganistan to capture UBL, who isn't there.
Next go to Iraq to find WMD's which aren't there.
Next to Iran because of a nuclear weapons industry that doesn't exist.

Like all good magicians, keep the peoples attention misdirected so they don't pay attention to what you don't want them to see.

What do you think about how the USA is being run?

Try this little experiment at home, in the outdoors, with enough
access to lots of sand so you can douse the flames.

Make a little steel bridge, with bricks under each end holding
up a long, thin piece of steel (you can use a thin steel bar, or
flat section, or a steel ruler).

Put a few bricks or dead weights at the middle of the span of
that bridge, to heavily load it, just to the point where if you add
more weight, the bridge would buckle up and collapse.

Like this: (ignore the dots)

............BB
_________________... (thin steel)
BB........fire.........BB..

(B = Bricks)

Then put a big metal tray of kerosene or aviation grade jet fuel
under those central bricks, and light it up with burning piece
of cardboard or newspaper to create a big fire (like a bonfire).

Now wait to see what happens.

Does the bridge collapse due to the heat of the fire?

You could also try this fire experiment with a vertical steel
column that is very heavily loaded.
