my bf is currently at MCT (marine combat training) and will afterwards go to the MOS, i'd like to know if they will allow him to take a laptop with him.
if anyone knows please tell me, don't theorize.

Not IN school, but for personal use in the barracks after hours.

If a computer is needed in school they will provide one to all students.

Unless the marines I trained with were different than the rest, yes. After they have completed Boot and MCT and are at their MOS school, they can use them, though depending on the school, it may not be right away.

That has a lot to do with what MOS school he goes to. He will definitely be allowed to have it, but unless he's going to one of the longer schools he most likely will not use it in class. It wouldn't have done us any good at the School of Infantry for example, but my little sister could have used one at Intel School.

he will be allowed a laptop after he graduates Boot Camp, but it is best to wait until he gets to his school to find out what kind of storage space he will have. he most likely will NOT be allowed to use it in the school house.
