Since it is illegal to teach things in the classroom from a "pro religion" stance, shouldn't it also be illegal to teach things in the classroom from an "anti religion" stance?

Enough is enough ... people of WB is tired of onlooking the drama now and then performed by Mamata Banerjee .. the lastest her fake resignation from the Parliament in Nandigram issue. Catching "eyeballs" before the cameras .. snatching news paper headlines ..sound bites with jargons of negative words ..anti developmental-economic stands .. calling for help to the NDA and the UPA all at a time .. stalling normal life in the name of "Bangla Aachal" (it's a new version of Bengal Bondh) .. moving with big caravan with cameramen of stooge Media channel /s, spreading rumors in the name of news .. un-leashing terror with diverse political forces like Naxals ..these have become tiresome.

Her latest resignation, the fourth time, was against "Ousted villagers returning to Nandigram" - yes there was some blood-shed though, the area-grabbers were with guns as it was since last eleven months. It was deliberately addressed to the PM .. not the Parliament Speaker .. since cancelled. Next ?

I read on the goarmy.com website that Special Forces now recruits civilians for the first time in however long it said... and a recruiter told me that they did too... but I talked to a guy on the internet playing SOCOM that used to be in the military, and he said that Special Forces doesn't recruit civilians, and you have to already be in the military for a while to qualify, and he said the recruiters were lying to me to get me to join... now I know the recruiters have a job, and have to put a little icing here and there... but I doubted that they flat out lie about stuff to get recruits... so what do I believe?

First a fake laugh and now a staged debate, or has it always been like this?

People are quick to complain that interest rates were high under Labor but they forget that Labor's economic reforms brought interest rates down to 6.75% in 1996. After 11 years of Liberal government they are still 6.75%.
What exactly does Howard take the credit for? Record housing prices where no average Joe can afford a decent house anymore? Workchoices? China feeding our boom?
Will Liberal voters see through the lies and finally realise that Labor started the talks with China and they can manage the economy because they have managed the economy well under extremely difficult circumstances in the past...not under the good times like Liberal have now thanks to WA and China.

The apartment complex I am currently living at has garbage dumpsters which is covered by the rent. It does not have recycling bins. Each apartment can have their own recycling bin, but it costs an additional monthly fee.

Can you explain to me how this makes any sense whatsoever? This gives me no incentive to recycle--in fact, it gives me more incentive not to. I would be glad to recycle but because of this I will not do so while I'm living here.

Can you tell me the logic behind paying to recycle? Please don't say "for the environment" and "being selfless" as reasons--I am glad to recycle and have done so in the past, but I am not going to pay to do so because I am not rich. This is like having to pay money to volunteer at a homeless shelter.

Pakistan's leader Pervez Musharraf has run over Pakistan's constitution and removed the rights of many Pakistani citizens; all done in the name of fighting terrorism and its threat to democracy.

And as I read this, I couldn't help but notice that it sounded rather familiar to me in here in America. Interestingly enough, similar events have happened in England and now in Australia as well.

It seems to me that Bush's attempt to protect democracy from terrorism, seems to be losing democracy not only in America but in nearly every country allied with America. Does it seem that way to all of you as well?
