No!. But I have seen people who dress up as civilians / hoodies and attack Postmen!! In London a lot!!

In Chicago we wait outside with lawn chairs and popcorn to wait for the annual postman vs unsuspecting victim all the time.

Not in these parts but It would be a good idea not to open your door to just anyone. If you have to sign something, ask the person to slip it in under the door. If you are alone, pretend that someone is with you. Do not pattern your movements.
