It seems ironic to me that American liberals, a group usually advertising how tolerant they are of differing views, never seem to cease in their venomous hateful name-calling of seemingly anyone who disagrees with them on matters of politics or spirituality. Republicans and conservatives aren't simply people with a different view on politics. Christians aren't simply people with a different view on spirituality. They are all evil greedy hateful X Y Z [insert more insults here]. Everywhere you look where these issues come up, whether it's a forum like this, an editorial page, a TV show, you will see behavior like this which seems to be perfectly ok to these people who otherwise would want someone fired, sued, and smeared for treating people this way if the victim was a minority.

If you were (or are) from Iowa, would you be insulted that the politcians and presidential candidates all show up and preach about poltics only when the Iowa Caucuses are about to happen? How obvious and shallow are politicians with their pandering to people that they won't even acknowledge once the caucuses are over?

I am surprised with way governments handle the World Bank funds and a lot of cash is ended up consumed by the big men in the governments

My friends send me good answers and I see how such answers can be sent to the WB/IMF offices to enable the funds reach the intended persons with full authority

Thanks

Or is it okay for one politician to do it but not okay for the others. Would you respect someone who incorporates this into their campaigns or would you think that they are having a hard time coming up with answers to regular peoples concerns so they have to have questions that they have practiced the answers to???? Your thoughts???

I think those people need help.I think it will happen, because 400,000 are dead. How many had to die before the West intervened in Bosnia? It did happen though people said it would never happen. Also the Serbian Communist regime was toppled partly with Western emnity to the Serbs. You can only sustain a state like that for a short time before it is toppled.Witness Hitlers Germany.

So, my friend stole a credit card from this restaurant last night because someone left it there and used it to buy a 60 dollar video game. Will the credit card companies call this place and look at the cameras, and if he does get caught, what kind of time is he looking at? Also, what if he goes and returns it, would it be too late? Let me know, thanks

I think it might be infringing copyright acts or something? Are there any exceptions like for personal use, not pirating?

I think it is as they always win, no matter the odds, they always kill first shot, there is never any "blue on blue" mistakes, and, this is the clincher, there is never any "collateral" damage, i.e. no civilians get killed by the Unit. Seems a total fantasy, like Battlestar Galactica or such.

If you give me a blank check, and tell me to go buy myself a car, and when I show up, none of the cars have prices on them, I'm going to be spending a lot of extra money, right?

Health care costs are out of control because consumers don't really care how much things cost, because someone else is paying for them directly while their costs go up in the long run as a result. People price shop for breast augmentation and vision repair surgery , but not for cardiovascular surgery. The difference is self pay vs insurance pay.

I realize that this isn't the ONLY issue, however I think its substantial.

Your thoughts?

Federal heating aid is down as heating oil prises rise. According to the US Dept of Health & Human Services, the Bush Administration granted almost 30% LESS assistance in 2007 than the previous year, and projects a 44% cut for 2008 in heating oil assistance for the poor, elderly and disabled.

Does this feel fair to you?
