Because the majority of the military, CIA, NSA and all the other alphabet agencies have never said that.
Since the beginning they have said all solutions require the help and willingness of the Iraqi people and only recently have they (Iraqis) started to come to terms with their own problems.
I don't know if this is the beginning of the end or the end of the beginning but I am sure in order to succeed we must continue.

Some may not like conclusion you stated, but wonder how they deny that such statements where made. In fact hit rerun button back to Intelligence Committee debate on Gulf 1 and similar conclusions were made. Not to mention power vacuum predicted if Saddam was removed. We took care of Native Americans in hundred years. Bush F Troop Brigade. Making fun of idiot commander and Chief NOT thousands of Americans and millions on Iraqis he has killed. How many more to get their heads right.

Because the pro-life party is in fact pro-war, pro-death, pro-nuclear.

In the end, the prognostications of martial law, "re-education" camps for dissidents, the collapse of the American economy triggered by crushing debt and the Iranian oil bourse, massive unemployment, the successful elimination of the remains of our Constitutional republic, and the relegation of the Great Beast in the United States to Third World conditions may ring true. So as you pour sugar in the tank of the engine powering the American Empire by refusing your daily dose of Ameri-Soma, do not relinquish your Second Amendment rights. Someday, the members of the Great Beast may need to exercise our inalienable right to self preservation. If it comes to this, there will be activity in the streets, but it will not be dancing.

Because Dick Cheney's Halliburton is making a ton of money. Even Osama bin Laden himself said it. "this is a war [in Iraq] that is benefiting major companies with billions of dollars."

So why leave when you're making tons of money.

By the way, I'm a liberal and I'm just mocking the republicans.
