Why do conservatives not believe the CIA and the military leaders that there is no military solution in Iraq?

They don't believe because one, it would make their entire war campaign look even worse, 2, it would destroy their reputations, and 3, they can't stand the thought of doing nothing.

Because the majority of the military, CIA, NSA and all the other alphabet agencies have never said that.
Since the beginning they have said all solutions require the help and willingness of the Iraqi people and only recently have they (Iraqis) started to come to terms with their own problems.
I don't know if this is the beginning of the end or the end of the beginning but I am sure in order to succeed we must continue.

Some may not like conclusion you stated, but wonder how they deny that such statements where made. In fact hit rerun button back to Intelligence Committee debate on Gulf 1 and similar conclusions were made. Not to mention power vacuum predicted if Saddam was removed.
