I think Joe speaks the truth. I have been hearing nothing but "get us out of Iraq" from Democrats for several years. Even though I am a Republican, it is sad to see a once proud party sink to the depths of defeatism and cowardice. They see more of an enemy in George Bush than they do in Islamofascist thugs.

I think he is absolutely correct. They've invested a good 2 or 3 years now saying we can't win and need to pull out.
To change now would only admit their advocating the defeat and retreat when victory was possible, and in fact will make victory happen in spite of their policies.
Truly their only winning position going forward is hoping for failure and defeat.

I have said before, Joe Lieberman has more intellect , honesty , integrity in his 'fingernail clippings' than all of the rest have in their whole bodies.
I do not agree with Joe on many of his beliefs, but he is "WAY ABOVE" the rest, and I would vote for him now, if he would "RUN" !!!!
Now THAT would "SCARE THE SHIZ OUT OF THE WHOLE DAM*ED BUNCH !!!!!!!

i think Joe is one of the honest politician, for the most part. he is putting America first and knows how devastating the defeat and retreat agenda would be for us.

It is dead on.
What is the DNC cry we must leave Iraq now.
That is retreat.
How will Muslim terrorists look at it that the great America left after we blooded their nose.
A victory for them and a defeat for us.
I know everyone know the great quotes of the DNC but as a reminder:
'Our troops are dumb'
"cold blooded murders"
"terrorists"
Joe disagree with the DNC on one issue and look at what they did to him. They booted him out and the DNC lost a loyal liberal democrat.

Despite his very liberal views in other areas, Lieberman's entire approach to the Iraq War has been exactly the same as that of the Republicans who support Bush. So, his statements confirm my belief that Lieberman is a Bush-supporting warhawk.

HE IS RIGHT ON IN HIS COMMENTS. HE IS ALSO THE LAST OF A DYING BREED OF DEMOCRATS KNOWN AS
THE JACKSON-HUMPHREY WING OF THE PARTY. HE IS TOUGH ON FOREIGN AFFAIRS & LIBERAL ON SOCIAL ISSUES. THEY WOULD KNOW HAVE TO RUN AS INDEPENDENTS OR REPUBLICANS TODAY SINCE THE FAR LEFT HAS HIJACKED THAT PARTY.

The war in Iraq, based on what we were told and all that has happened since 2001, is a red herring. i have yet to recieve a valid, concrete answer as to why we are there. a lot of the inital hostility happened when we kept extending the deadline for our departure. It is pointless in that what happens there doesn't directly effect us in that our family members are dying in vain for some vague cause. Lieberman's statement is to undermine voters' thoughts on who to vote for. as a country we have so many problems that it is arrogant to think that we know what is best for a country that has existed just fine since before the biblical era.
