They certainly act that way at times.

Many illegals seem to feel that way. All of the LEGAL immigrants I've met along the way (several I work with) earn their full way. They pay their taxes, work a decent job, pay for their own housing, aren't on any public assistance (legal immigrants aren't ALLOWED to go on public assistance, for a certain amount of time anyway, isn't that a real slap in the face?) and the ones I know are generally good people.
I'm not saying that many ILLEGALS aren't generally good people, many are. The point is, many of them also seem to feel that the US owes them something. We don't.

Yes, it's hard to explain the difference between a country that believes that free means the right to pursue your dreams, and to be what ever you have the drive, ambition, or desire to be or do. Or maybe on the other hand, some immigrants think that we own them them for coming, being somehow we have created the impression is their right to come, not out right to allow them to come.

I don't know of any immigrants who think that, they work from sun up until sundown, I do know some fat lazy AMERICANS who think that though.....

I can't imagine running my business without immigrants, I could never get lazy Americans to work as hard.....

the only immigrants I feel who want a handout are the Haitians they think everything ought to be handed to them, but the ones from Mexico work so hard! OMG, we could not operate our ranch with 6,000 head of cattle if we didn't have those Mexican Cowboys....they WANT to work and care for their families they never ask for anything.....

No, they work very hard for what they get. You listen to too much anti rant The welfare Rights act of 1996 excluded most legal immigrants from getting federal benefits such as . food stamps, welfare etc. And you think the government gives that help to undocumented Immigrants, Find out you self pick up the phone and called the food stamp office and ask what their eligibility's requirements are, You have to be an American Citizen.and in special cases a legal Immigrants.
Make the a call and find out for yourself.

Edit
I have not seen anyone say that my post is not truthful, I only see those that have no legitimate argument, showing their lack of any knowledge by reverting to name calling, I proved my point!!

Have you ever heard of that saying ''Don't shoot the messenger"? Well, don't be angry at illegal immigrants, get mad at the government for not cracking down. The illegal immigrants are the messenger, the government is sending the message that you can illegally emigrate to this country. We're too busy giving hand jobs to corporate America to care who comes in and out of this country. :)

The government doesn't "allow it", our current LAWS don't allow it.
It IS a crime to enter our country illegally.
It IS a crime to HIRE an illegal alien.
It IS a crime to use fake or stolen IDs.
It IS a crime to do many of the things illegal aliens do when they get here.

Those who refer to "free healthcare" in particular just chap my Texan butt.

Exactly who do they think is paying for it anyway? Nothing is free--anywhere, anyhow. The American taxpayer is the one paying for all that "free" stuff.

Arrrrrgggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I think you are all mad at the wrong people....it's not the immigrants fault, it's the governments fault for allowing it in the first place. Nip it in the butt with the primary source which enables.
