I think the president should be there but I guess one draft dodger is as good as another. Too bad it couldn't be Colin Powell or someone else who proudly wore a uniform.

Oh well, maybe better off without either one of them. And I
agree with you whole heartily should have been Colin Powell
or some highly decorated military person.
Thank you for your service. We pray for peace and honor our
vets and those still in battle.

A draft dodger would be the womanizer who gutted the military during his terms and ran to England in order to avoid the draft.
The best Commander and Chief I had during my 20 years in the Army is in Texas today, so what...

Bush is afraid of lowering his popularity numbers by showing up for something he has no right to show up for. For that matter, Cheney has no right either. Poweel would have been a better choice had he still beena a part of Bush's team.

He probably has another ceremony to attend. The president, though I do not eprsonally like him, is very busy. He cannot be everywhere at once.

It's ok. We can all barely understand what our dear President is saying half of the time anyway. LOL

They'd better keep those guns away from him or the 21-gun salute could turn nasty. I wouldn't send Cheyney anywhere near firearms!
