If most students don't like politics they have become apathetic towards politics. Therefore; with the absence of their vote their children will bring forth other generations who are apathetic towards politics. Ultimately, with such apathy and discontent growing from generation to generation, the country will become so weak that either a revolution will ensue, or a military coupe, or the country will implode culturally leaving the government empty in function, and ripe for a foreign dictator to take over the country.
That is of course, supposing that you are right about MOST STUDENTS not liking politics.

My view on politics is this the people who are elected into the various elected positions of our government on all levels in some way shape our lives. Their decisions affect our lives in so many ways (road repair, education, our economy, etc. etc) both great and small. Since I choose to lead a certain kind of life and expect certain things from life I also choose to be active and well versed in politics.
I think the whole idea of politics being for the old is bologna because the increase in fuel prices affects us all, our children being undereducated affects our future, and declaring war affects us ALL!!!!

Nobody likes the way the politics are going on. No matter the time, the good for nothing politicians will only rule until there is a change in the mind setting of the people.

I think you're right, a lot of kids are apathetic, because what can anyone do about all of this, and who wants to listen to the hateful political talk and yelling on tv and radio. Many adults are cynical and disengaged too.
If we have a draft, students Will quickly become politically aware. We're not too far from this. It depends on who is elected and whether they are a peacemaker and negotiator or a war-monger.
