Not to mention any troops at all, but Special Forces? They have their own version of SAS and SBS right? ... I seriously doubt there as good as British special ops, or American special ops... but why do they need them,

To protect Canada from everyone else's Special Ops!!! Every nation on earth has these, even the poorest African nations have special forces. It is just a fact of life.

The service is called Joint Task Force Two.

Canada needs them the same reason we need the Spetsnaz/Vityaz/Alfa or USA needs SEALS and Delta.

To handle incidents of a special nature.

You need regular soldiers for the same as anyone else. To defend the nation, and project power around the glovbe.

For killing special enemies. You seem to think Canada should always rely on other countries to defend Canada. That's just silly.
