I have four sets of BDU's and six sets of DCU's that are taking up a lot of space. Should I store them until after I get out of the Army or can I get rid of them? And either way, does anybody know if this is in the regulations so I can have it in writing?

What do you think?

Here's my opinion - its not a huge deal, but in a way it is. It kinda has the stench of the Bush administration's manipulation and control tactics. Also, candidates need to show some guts. If Hillary thinks global warming is an important issue, then say outright, "Before I take your questions I'd like to talk about global warming..." , by having an audience member ask the question its like giving the candidate an 'out' - if it doesn't play well in the polls they can say, "hey I was just answering a question". Very cowardly.

I know there's some question about whether hillary knew or not, but just asking for opinions on the idea in general. I think its insulting when politicains try to manipulate people in ways they think we care about.

That is the question of the day. Veterans Day. A time
set aside for all of those who sacrificed life and limb, for
the continued freedom of our country. The United States
of America. But our soldiers have been forsaken, many
of them. Watch CBS news tonight at 6:30 PM Eastern
time. A special on the suicide rate of war torn soldiers. *
Now the President did not attend the National Honor
Memorial ceremony. For whatever reason.... And a lot
of people have the day off, during that time. So the big
cooperations could go to the bank, on the backs of these
veterans. Taking funds out of public services, so they could
end up in Walter Reid's type situation. In other words,
a vet hospital dump. In all the humanity ! Is Veterans
Day a scam ? Best answer wins. *

To help eliminate the problem of illegal aliens?

2007-11-13 02:37:36 · 11 answers · asked by 4 in Law Enforcement & Police

Dear Abby,

My husband is a liar and a cheat. He has cheated on me from the beginning and, when I confront him, he denies everything. What's worse, everyone knows that he cheats on me. It is so humiliating. Also, since he lost his job six years ago, he hasn't even looked for a new one. All he does all day is smoke cigars, cruise around and bullshit with his buddies while I have to work to pay the bills. Since our daughter went away to college he doesn't even pretend to like me . He doesn't even defend my reputation when people suggest I may be a lesbian. What should I do?
Clueless

Dear Clueless,
Grow up and dump him. Good grief, woman. You don't need him anymore! You're a United States Senator from New York running for President of the United States.........Act like one!

Abby

so lets deport every illegal alien by the end of the year:
given the fact that U.S. citizens were having to wait almost a year just to get a passport
given the fact that illegals do mostly labor intensive work that the elderly work force can''t do
given the fact that illegals drive down the hourly wage they do work we would do if it paid better
given the fact that unemployment is about 5%
given the fact that our workforce that could or would do the work illegals do is about 100 million
who are we going to replace the illegal workforce with?
we are going to deport 8 to 10 million workers by the end of the year and replace them with 5 million workers who demand a higher wage and many of them just have a poor work ethic.
how much are we now willing to pay for our fruits, vegtables, getting our roofs fixed, carrying out our trash, all of those so called low wage jobs that illegals do.
how is deporting every illegal going to impact you?

I have a next door neighbour, who has inherited the house from his father, he is about 43, he was an adopted child, and is very bitter. Before he came to our street, he was in trouble with the law, a heroin addict, and in court for assaults and breach of the peace. He used to come to see his dad, but he just shouted at him and made a lot of noise, his dad had a heart attack ultimately, and we suspect his behaviour did it. He has insulted me in the past, and threatened my two teen boys with a beating.Since 30 I have had a bad disability, my back is fused, and neck bent. He has shouted in my face and called me a "freak" if i was able i would have kicked his *** good and proper, but i can't, and in truth am wary of him, if he did hit me it could break something serious, neck or similar. My son is worried he might do it, as well, as he is so volatile, we have a dispute now over a leak on a roof, and he is worse now. Do I have an option to sue for slander, and defend myself that way

On one hand, whenever I bring up a poll in a question, such as the one that says the public overwhelmingly disproves of Bush, or the war in Iraq, these guys say that polls are not trustworthy and are full of bias.
On the other hand, it seems the same people are more than happy to point out that the Democrat-led Congress (which is half full of Republicans) are polling very unpopularly with Americans.

Would you consider this flip-flopping or just plain confusion on their part? Or is a poll only skewed if the results run counter to your political ideology?

That is what they are saying in my neighborhood. And I
live in the Southeastern US.... Republicans are angry at
Bush for betraying them, and his legacy will go down in
the history books, as the worst administration ever. Major
job loss, social security turmoil, real estate tragedy, high
crime, increased gang activity, deterioration of public
services funds, no border protection after 9/11, spying
on Americans, low consumer confidence, and much more.
Unless you have been living under a rock, then you would
notice these things all across the board. Where is Ron
Paul, when you need him. And by the way, I am a
Democrat.... So much negative energy coming from this.
Is Bush the worst president ever ? Oh don't forget the gas
prices. Best answer wins. *

Scientific theory, in order to be accepted, does not have to be proven true . . . it does have to be incapable of being proven false . . . If you apply the same logic used in science to the Bible (or any other religion) . . . then you can only conclude that the Bible may or may not be true but can not be proven false and therefore is a valid scientific theory. Then the question becomes is creation a science/scientific theory or spiritual mandate? How would you apply the criteria for scientific theory to the Bible (if at all)?
