Crazy Chuck: Please don't pretend that 1) they're not breaking our laws in the first place and 2) that more nefarious criminals aren't hiding amongst people who are here illegally. Sorry to offend but they shouldn't have broken the law in the first place. And as for your other comment: two wrongs don't make a right.

Edward H: You make a great point. Why not run sting operations against those hiring them?

PFO: matter of priorities. Get control of the freeloading illegals who cannot be traced and then focus on the freeloading citizens.

The local news station here had just that story last night, showing undercover cops busting illegals at one gathering point.

at the starting up, illegals do no longer have any rights in this u . s .. they don't seem ruled through the structure and for this reason do no longer have rights. Secondly, have you ever hear of sting operations? Police attempt this each and each and every of the time. If the criminal is dumb sufficient (those adult adult males even were) to fall for it, they flow to penitentiary, end of tale. Thirdly, there is no longer a city contained in the country that does no longer have loitering and soliciting regulations, which, those adult adult males were in violation of, if no longer something else. deliver them again to the position they got here from.

Something most people don't understand is; Local police officers rarely have the authority to enforce US immigration laws. We can't simply go round up an illegal for simply being illegal and ship them back to mexico.
If we arrest someone for an unrelated crime and find out they are an illegal. We can then call ICE to come pick them up. But as I said before, we can't simply do that because they are illegal.
The US government is now "deputizing" local law enforcement officers across the country to enforce those laws. But the officers have to first attend training classes and departments that do so are in the minority.

I live in an upsacale suburb of Dallas where day laborer workers are a common site. They are never picked up because many of the construction / development firms use them. To arrest these people would affect their bottom lines tremendously. In fact, there was a "roundup" not long ago, and wouldn't you know that all the construction in this area was halted that day; all of it! Its always about money.

Probably the same reason they don't raid known drug hangouts. Lack of man power. But if they did they could also arrest the people that hire them since they would be breaking the law by hiring the illegal aliens.

What Pantagru and others do not realize is that the Japanese were rounded up for their own safety - because when we Americans get ticked off you don't know what to expect. And the mexican invaders are almost to that level. Because when we do the job the feds won't we will kick you know what!

This is usually done by the INS.
Cops are usually only called to respond to criminal activity. I agree the illegal immigration issue is one that needs to be addressed. However, I believe this one falls under another agency's jurisdiction.

What's next? Door to door searches in the middle of the night? We could get'm while they're asleep! Columbus was the first 'illegal' immigrant! Would you like to see internment camps for Mexicans like we had for the Japanese-Americans?

Yea lets hurt the Poor guy, I mean after all they all deserve it for trying to work. Heck then they can show it on the news and brag about harming another poor souls life for trying to make it by working. Cool Thought. Man we should take all of our allies that want to work and have a good life, and ruin theirs. I mean if they can't make it on their own, why should we being the biggest and best help. After all we only force our boys to die in war in other nations that we care less about to spread to follow us to other nations. Thats Smart, well thought of, and great for everyone.
As for 2 wrongs, if we look at the laws in place as always being correct and just, how can we progress? We need to learn to be flexable when needed to be as we claim, a nation under God. God has a principle diffferent than what your saying. , why are men dying, for freedom - right ? For whose freedom ?
Are we an open group wanting the person doing our hard chores for low profit, but always in most cases kind , and willing to die to work? So many die simply to work, and we need their work done.
I believe that if we look a things wisely we would see that our enemy is not the day worker, but rather the one whom disagrees with the concept of Freedom and all of it's principles to make it so.
Now I mean if they were the enemy out to hurt me, heck I would see your point. But if we have only the lower working class to attack to catch criminals, then well all of our space age tech stuff is junk.

lol, because day laborers are working. Now, how you gonna arrest someone for trying to work? "Shame on you for trying to put food on the table!" What I want to know is why they don't go out and arrest the freeloading Americans that sit at home, collect welfare and don't work. That's where you need to focus your attention.
