First link shows people donating money since soldiers were sent off with no body armor to war while the second link shows Rumsfeld saying they can not account for 2.3 trillion dollars lost in DOD. That would have paid for a lot of body armor.
Kinda sick that they would deprive soldiers of their basic nessecities while filling their coffers.

No. All an investigation would show is what we know already - Congress needs to fund a modern accounting system for the DOD.
The money is not missing - it is just considered to be not cost-effective to prove it was spent properly.

Clinton Arms sales to China = Google
Now if you do a timeline of opportunity, the 2001 Comptroller of the Pentagon had far more access to funds than did anyone else. Clearly Cheney was looking into it. September 10, 2001 he began his studies and AG Gonzales was already on it. September 11. 2001 changed all that.
You know my politics and when I smell Clinton I research it. And it does not appear anyone wants to address it. WHY I am unclear. 2.3 Trillion dollars? And as you said already why are we in debt so deep. Personally the depths lie between the Bush- Clinton administrations. From HW to now. If any one in their right mind wants more of this ??
ONE President per Family tree. FOR EVER!!
edit: No one did our troops well as they first engaged in Iraq. The General was fired. I still say look McCain.
Sick is the Democratic Congress took the "holiday" weekend off for Veteran's Day as they deny more funds for better armor. And the badly needed vehicles to replace the stupid Humvees that killed our brave soldier's. Don't blame one when the other is not exempt from any of the autrocities of war.
added: perhaps the top poster may be right, it was spent and? just not PC to say what was right... no conspiracy. Who spent it and was it a popular choice when one leaves with a said on paper economy booming ... considering we were deflating the military budget at the time??

Here Mele Kai and Edge and rest they need to find that it would change much, but as you showed it's been going on for a long time, right before 9/11, 9/10, the day before they were looking into it and nothing now.

All missing government funds in any department should be investigated. It is our money, and we should know what it is spent on. If these figures are accurate, that money spread out among all Americans, would be over $7,000 of our money, each. I'd really like to know what $7,000 of MY money was spent on.
Although, if another government agency is going the investigation, it may just cost another 2.3 trillion to finish the investigation. //-- joke

$2,300,000 Million Dollars (or 2.3 trillion) is a hell of allot....Wow....
That's about $13,200.oo Per working man and woman in America!
OR, it is $2.3 MILLION dollars per Soldier!
Imagine we had 2.3 million dollars per soldier in armor, hi tech gear, and benefits. Imagine we had 1/10th that per soldier.
This addresses a major problem that people don't give a damn about. They are brainwashed by the medications t hey are on. But pointing out cost to each taxpayer is most likely the way to draw attention to it since wallets, and credit cards is all they CARE about.

A huge amount of corruption can be funded with 2.3 trillion dollars and I am sure soldiers have been sent to their deaths many times for much less.

Investigate them and all the areas of the Government. Personally I would start with Campaign Funding, that way we could eliminate the hypocrites before starting an honest evaluation.
