I am a Canadian married to a American. We are in middle of the CR-1 visa application process (I live in Canada and he in the US) and as part of my paperwork I need to include a police certificate (pasado Juducial) from Colombia (DAS) as I lived in there for 6 years. I have emailed DAS through their website (in English & Spanish) but have only received notice that my email was received. To date I have recieved no further information about the process or if they even issue such certificates to foreignors.

(I have reason to suspect these certificates may not be available to non-Colombians but would like some clarification on this. Anybody?)

Also, IF such a certificate is NOT ISSUED then can I get something official that states that? Where? How?

my girl went down to florida for vacation and got a speeding ticket. I lived down there and got a speeding ticket myself so i know that lawyers send alot of flyers to your house when you get a ticket, can some one give me the info for a good lawyer that make sure you get no points and beats ther tickets she got it in Dade county.i paid like $70 for them to take care of my ticket

I am about to turn 16 and it sucks that everyone else I know can get a job and I really want to get one too but the only problem is that I'm not a US citizen and neither are my parents and for us to become one would take years.

So my question is that if there’s any job work place in Miami that can hire me to work? I would really like to start working but I don’t think I can’t at all because of my legal status.

On top of that… Is there any way I can get a restricted or even a license? Is absolutely anything I can do?

If we have made a loss in the financial year does that mean they pay us tax?

Why do I have to pay tax if I don't agree with how it is being spent and didn't vote for the government...?

I am not happy with the services I am being provided with as a result of my tax can I sue the relevant bodies such as the council etc?

i just received a letter on Saturday that i owe 762 dollars for not paying 30 tolls from 06/2006 through 12/2006. Originally the cost would have been 22 dollars for the unpaid tolls but they charged 20 dollars for each toll as a fee which comes out to 762 dollars which is crazy. i had an Ipass but i never realized i was out of money on it until like a week after i ran out. Meanwhile i was still going through all those tolls. Do you think that they would cut me a break? The letter they sent me is kinda harsh. They said they don't accept payment plans, they don't negotiate, etc and that I have to pay this amount in two weeks or I get my license suspended. They did however say I could have a hearing.

Anyone think its possible to get off all these fines?? Or have you yourself?

If this statement is true, then, knowing Bill Clinton also agreed with Universal Health-Care, allowing his wife Hellary to run that (attempt) part of his presidency, is it also not fair to assume Hellary, if she becomes president, will run the war in Iraq the same way Bill ran the war in Somalia? In other words, a vote for Hellary is just another vote for Billery to be president again? Will she watch our men and women die, and not let them defend themselves the same, as Bill did not allow our soldiers in Somalia to defend themselves?
