I don't want any appreciation from either the group La Raza or illegal immigrants. But illegal immigrants should appreciate what American society gives them, despite the fact that they don't have any right to be here.

We don't need anyone to throw us an appreciation day. Let's just do it ourselves.

One thing that does bother me is that we have such a wonderful diversity of culture within what is considered the "anglo" or "white" community and we are simply all lumped together. We aren't considered people of color at all, we aren't credited with rich heritages, and I think that's just wrong.
An person of Irish descent is different from a Norwegian is different from a Ukranian. A German-American has a different cultural background from an Italian-American. A Swede is not the same as a Greek. A Brit has different foods or habits from a Polish person, A Lithuanian from a Serb, etc etc. Even Canadians are distinct. We need to stand up for and appreciate our own diversity as Americans with cultural ancestors because we are increasingly being, as I said before, lumped together and told we are the same by those who are quite proud of their heritage and waving their flags. Lets wave ours along with the stars and stripes. I am surrounded in the SW by people proud of their heritage almost radically sometimes and instead of being resentful, I just joined in and got an Irish sticker/flag for my wheels!
I even have one that Gaelically tells everyone where to go!

Have you EVER met anyone in La Raza? I have, the owner of the La Raza radio station in L.A. I live in L.A, and I met him in Florida, as my job is in radio. What they have to say about themselves and their organization is chilling. You don't want an appreciation day from them or any illegal alien. They all need to leave, and La Raza needs to be disbanded. So does Univision. Tear it down. The rant against me because I am a white American was unbelivable. He said, and I quote, "we're more racist than all of you." Do you really think there is any appreciation there? Give me a break.

La Raza has no qualms about admitting its unabashed racism. Why? Because racism is MORE politically correct than admitting its unabashed determination to patrol for the Cartels and get street drugs into the hands (and bloodstreams) of younger and younger American pre-teens.

As such, their only appreciation is for citizens' blindness and evidence of apathy in looking the other way as they do their worst.

If the federal government remains unwilling to undertake serious enforcement of the United States' immigration laws, it will eventually be forced to provide massive federal education funds to the states. A far more logical and cost-effective alternative—and one with considerable pay-offs in other areas as well—would be to substantially reduce illegal immigration.

Without a serious commitment to do just that, the open borders and lax enforcement that allow millions of illegal aliens to enter the U.S. each year—and to obtain driver's licenses and other official identification documents with virtually no fear of the law—will continue to undermine the will of the American people, suck dry our communities' financial resources, and imperil our children's future

I support that notion. La Raza and their anti-American supports here in the USA should give their benefactor a little more respect. ¿Es que los fellas derechos?

We don't want anything from them except to leave our country. We may have to drag them kicking and screaming, but we eventually will.
