I believe the government does not belong in our personal lives and should not be the ones making the choices for us on issues of health care and the services for which we are entitled. I do not believe the government should be allowed to decide how we spend our money and also they should not be allowed to force us to provide for people who are breaking the law by being in this country, working and maybe even voting, cashing in on benefits to which they should not be taking part. I believe that we should be entitled to the money that we make and should be allowed to invest it however we want to without having the government decide how much we can keep and where we have to spend it. I do not want the government telling me how to raise my children; teaching them things that I personally believe are moral values which should come from the parents in the home, not be mandated by programs which are objectionable to me. I believe that we need to follow the Constitution and the laws which have been established and that we should have the freedom to the religion of our choice without having the government force us to take God and prayer out of our public places. The government is getting far too involved in our lives. We live in a democracy and that should mean that we should be able to make our own decisions. I do not want to become a socialist and have the government regulate everything in our lives.

I draw a hard line when government intervention strays from the general public into the realm of the private individual.

Redistribution of wealth. My taxes should go to necessary services and not where they infringe upon my freedom or rights.
With that said I do not mind a part of my taxes going to care for military veterans, the care of the elderly, the disabled, and impoverished children.
I do not want socialized medicine. The socialist agenda being promoted by many destroys initiatives, would destroy our economy and our country.
I would give incentives for education to help people compete in today's world. Low cost or no interest loans would be a big part of the plan.
Self reliance, self respect and responsibility should be promoted.
