I am about to turn 16 and it sucks that everyone else I know can get a job and I really want to get one too but the only problem is that I'm not a US citizen and neither are my parents and for us to become one would take years.

So my question is that if there’s any job work place in Miami that can hire me to work? I would really like to start working but I don’t think I can’t at all because of my legal status.

On top of that… Is there any way I can get a restricted or even a license? Is absolutely anything I can do?

My parents are in the process of becoming citizens. But it takes a while for them to become one and takes even longer for me to become one, but I just want a job to obtain pocket money. I just wish I could be a teenager with just a little bit of money so I can go out and maybe even save up for like a car. I’m not ripping off this country, I only want to get a small part-time job, lol.

Nope, but that's what happens when you and your family chose to skirt the laws and live illegally.

How are your illegal parents working? I'm pretty sure they could advise you...as long as it doesn't include ID theft. Or, if they aren't working...I wouldn't follow that example either. You probably don't like my answer but I'll just be straight with you....I don't like the fact that you and your family are illegal and not doing anything about it...like either leaving or attempting to become legal. The job you want...and just may illegally get, takes away from a legal immigrant or a citizen, think about that, k?

Edit: To quote you "the only problem is that I'm not a US citizen and neither are my parents and for us to become one would take years."

You did not indicate anything in your Q other than you are all not citizens and it would take too long. So, how far into the process are your parents and why didn't they include you in the process of becoming legal?

I'm assuming you don't really mean a "non-citizen teen. You mean an ILLEGAL ALIEN.

Blame your parents. What do you mean they are "in the process" of becoming citizens?? If they are illegal aliens, I find that hard to believe, since you can't become legal in the U.S. while in an ILLEGAL status. You must be in your country of origin to apply to be an immigrant.
What are you doing to make yourself legal?? You will be an adult soon and responsible for yourself.
Have you asked your parents about this?? Have you asked them why they are sending you into adulthood as an illegal alien?? Why don't you ask them what they expect you to do now?? What kind of life will you have? What kind of future can you expect?? Not much as an illegal alien.
Even if you can find employment, what kind of job is it going to be? How long can you work there? And what about the next one you look for? And what about the one after that?

The above posters offering you advice on how to find employment as an illegal alien are NOT doing you a "service". If you hope to have any kind of future, you need to SOLVE THE PROBLEM. And that means fixing your legal status. PERIOD. This is the best possible advice you can be given at this point.

If you have any friends in the same situation, tell them the same thing. Don't go through life as an illegal alien.

I feel bad for you having to be dragged around by your parents without being able to do it legally. I'm sure although I don't agree with you even being in the country illegally, anyway I am sure you can find some work. What a dilemna your parents have put you in! That sucks, sorry to hear it.

While certain states allow illegal aliens to obtain licenses, others take no action as illegal aliens take to the roads without licenses. As traffic fatalities rise across the country, from accidents and hit-and-run incidents up 3.5 percent from 2000 to 20051 it is clear that the growing presence of illegal aliens is contributing to this problem

/Uninsured drivers are a growing problem across the country.

/Although many states bar illegal immigrants from receiving licenses, it is clear that in itself will not decrease the incidence of unlicensed, uninsured illegal alien drivers who are disproportionately involved in hit-and-run and other fatal accidents. To protect the American public better against the threat of accidents by illegal alien drivers, more stringent measure should be taken against unlicensed and uninsured illegal alien drivers especially those found driving while intoxicated included turning them over to immigration authorities for deportation.

If you are a legal resident non-citizen, you should be able to get almost any job.

If you are not a legal resident, then all you can do is put up ads to see if anyone needs help with domestic work, like car washing, babysitting, household chores, etc.

You can get hired. You may need a work visa or green card or whatever it is you guys use. They can't tell you "no", because it takes 7 years to become a citizen, and no one can wait 7 whole years without a job.

It's no impossible, trust me.
