Have to wear a blue dress

I have an old typesetting block, from the days before computers did most of the printing.

I'm curious as to whether it is some official symbol of some branch of service.

It's shows a spread-wing eagle on top a globe, with North and South Amerca showing. In the back of globe is an anchor, with top and bottom peeking out from the globe.

Anyone know what this symbol is for?

Is it more selfish to want to keep your hard earned money to take care of your family, or is it more selfish to take someone elses money to take care of your family?

Democrats keep saying Republicans are selfish, they don't care about kids. Is that a valid argument when Democrats want to take their money for the predominately democratic poor?

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Everywhere she goes, Hillary Clinton asks voters to help her make history as the first woman president.
Yet Clinton is increasingly portraying herself more as motherly and traditional than as trailblazing and feminist, sometimes playing up the differences between men and women.

One dozen members of the Republican Party have announced that they've had enough. Is this a sign that real change is about to happen in the U.S., or will it be politics as usual after the '08 election?

BOSTON - Sabrina Rahim doesn't practice any particular faith, but she had no problem signing a letter declaring that because of her deeply held religious beliefs, her 4-year-old son should be exempt from the vaccinations required to enter preschool.
But public health officials say it takes only a few people to cause an outbreak that can put large numbers of lives at risk.

"When you choose not to get a vaccine, you're not just making a choice for yourself, you're making a choice for the person sitting next to you," said Dr. Lance Rodewald, director of the CDC's Immunization Services Division.

It says in the artical that not taking a vac shot is not making a choice for yourself but instead a choice for the person sitting next to you. I find this statement to be totaly incorrect. If I choose to take a shot or not and then you choose to sit next to me puts the ball in your court. If you really care to know if people are vaccinated or not you could simply just ask everyone you meet if they are before sitting next to them... Not that anyone would do this but the point is the choice of a parent for the child they care for should not be forced simply because its also a choice that has an effect on other people... I would love to hear at what point im wrong here. I mean sure you can make the point that if people dont get vacs then they could be a risk to someone else but honestly is that how you would want to see other people as a risk to yourself and others? Does anyone actualy fully understand how these vacs are effecting our children or ourselfs? I think not...

Why do the Dems refuse to require that 95% of poor kids receive insurance via SCHIP and other programs before they give money to insure richer kids?

States have only enrolled 2/3 of poor kids in insurance programs that they are entitled to. Why won't the Dems make sure that the truly needy are covered before giving money away to richer parents?

I listened to Glenn Beck's commentary last evening on CNN and this was the subject! I put this in immigration because it is immigration law that he was mainly talking about.
I don't always agree with him,but I think he has a point here!
It has to end one way or the other. Either the government enforces the laws or the people take things into their own hands!
I think this could happen down the road?
It's not all spin!!
It would be a sad time in our history!!!
The poll at this website is further proof!

Putin is sure working hard to become the savior to the Iraqi and Iranians, and to make sure he identifies Russia as anti-US. He is increasing his stance by posturing himself and Russia as in direct alliance with all that is defiant towards anything the Americans are doing. I often suspect he has a 666 on the back of his head.

Quoted from Yahoos front page: "President Vladimir Putin, in his latest jab at Washington, suggested Thursday that the U.S. military campaign in Iraq was a "pointless" battle against the Iraqi people, aimed in part at seizing the country's oil reserves."

Heard on the Michael Savage radio program last night that a noted DNA genetecist, Dr. James Watson, recently wrote a paper saying that blacks were less intelligent than whites. It should be noted that Dr. Watson won the Nobel Prize for his work in discovering the structure of DNA.

Now that he has come out with this politically incorrect paper, will the people of The Nobel Committee demand that he return his prize?
