At all car dealerships signs are posted that it is aginst State and Federal law for customers to enter the service area. What is the purpose of this and what are the laws governing this?

Dont know the laws off hand, but it is too keep people from getting hurt and then suing the dealer. As we all know there are people just dying to find a reason to sue any thriving business..

Probably OSHA and state-equivalent laws...safety issues.
I wouldn't want to try and work with 'tourists' in the way.
