I agree that you should return to college. ROTC is a great idea. Consider not doing ROTC only so, if you want, you have the option to change your mind about the service after graduation. In addition, make sure you watch the following films to pump you up: Officer and a Gentlemen, Annapolis, Navy Seals, and The Rock.

US Navy officers MUST have a 4 year degree. The only way around this is by enlisting, and when you reach the right paygrade (E6 or E7) you can apply for LDO or Warrant Officer. You can expect it to take between 5-10 years to make those paygrades, depending on what your paygrade is going in and how fast you can advance.

these programs are very competitive and you pretty much stay within your rating as an Officer. your other option is to enlist and apply to STA-21. this will allow you to finish your 4 year degree at a civilian college with a NROTC unit, after which you will be commissioned as an Ensign. This also is very competitive and often takes multiple applications before you are accepted. you usually can't do this until after all schooling is done and you have at least one eval from an operational command.

Mike

First off mate at least run spell check before posting, being an Officer in the Navy requires attention to detail and you seem to be lacking this.

To the rest of your question, go to school and get a degree and join the NROTC where you will learn what it takes to become an Officer.

Good luck.

Don't listen to your recruiter. Look into NROTC at the major universties in your state. You can go back to school, get your degree, and be trained as a naval officer. When you graduate, you will be commissioned as an Ensign and go to your first tour of duty.

first thing to do is to finish your collge degree, secondly, you take up entrance exam for navy officership. If you passed the said exam you will undergo medical exam and you will undergo one year training.
