My Role in Honoring America’s Veterans
A man wakes up in his cozy bed on a regular Sunday morning. He gets ready and reads the newspaper. Later he gets in his car, turns on some music and goes to church. That man just experienced something that millions of people will never be able to. He experienced the Freedom of the Press, the Freedom of Speech, and the Freedom of Religion. In many third world countries, people are restricted, not given freedoms.
America has freedom, something for which Americans can never be thankful enough. We get used to being free and doing what we want. Who can we thank for this freedom?
Since America was found, we have had fifty million men and women serve in the military. Right now, over twenty-five million veterans are still alive. There are many veterans, and we, as individuals, should honor them. They are our heroes, no matter what they say. They risked their lives.
